Dutch Bungalow | Heritage Hotel in Fort Kochi

Excellent place to stay. Wonderful reception on arrival. Great location for exploring Fort Kochi. Very good rooms with top quality linen, excellent house keeping staff. All staff very helpful and attentive we were treated more like family than guests. When we left they arranged a car to take us to the station the driver waited with us then took us onto the train to our seats. Thanks to everybody at the Dutch Bungalow. We will return.

Excellent staff, large room, very clean, top quality linen, room service very good. Very good choice for breakfast. Within easy walking distance of sea front, Chinese fishing nets and plenty of stalls selling various things. Many thanks to all the staff who made our stay very enjoyable, we will definitely return.

Really lovely hotel in a great location. Although our room wasn’t the best (boutique room) we would stay here again and upgrade. Staff are efficient and friendly. The pool is right by the restaurant area but adds to the character of the place. Breakfast was average but you won’t go hungry. We did find the bed small and uncomfortable, but that’s personal preference.

The final night of my 4 night stay, after plans changing for me. I love this hotel. Travelling solo, I’ve felt welcomed, comfortable and safe at all times. Great service, huge rooms and the pool is really refreshing. I’ve eaten in the restaurant for 3 nights and each breakfast and can’t fault it. I have only eaten Kerelan dishes, they’ve been authentic and delicious. I will be returning to Dutch Bungalow. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Service staff were nice, friendly and always smiling. Location was close to all the attractions in Fort Kochi. It was very convenient to rent an auto tuktuk for sightseeing. Rooms have a bit of colonial and historic charm however requires some renovation on the interior. Lights were a little too dim and noises could be heard from the ceiling above. Staff were apologetic and understanding about it. Overall a pleasant stay :)

We stayed at this old Dutch building with a lot of history and enjoyed it very much. Big rooms, high ceilings, lots of wood, antique set up, a swimming pool, a good restaurant, friendly staff - we will come again. The location is also perfect as it is a little bit away from the crowd.

Great start to the holiday. Reception greeting was lovely. Rooms were bit tired needed a refurbishment. No cupboard to hang clothes in, had to liveout of my suitcase. View from bedroom was not there cause of the tree in front of the window. Room needs looking at to reorganising the whole inside. Restaurant service was very good but lack of understanding of what we ordered in the morning for breakfast. All in all, good 2 nites and now moving onto Munnar.

Very beautiful hotel! antique, beautiful. Despite the abundance of wood, there is no smell of mold. I recommend!
