Meadow View Inn

The place is outstanding with a whole view of the jungle from the balcony.The moment you enter the main gate you will love the place , rooms . The rooms are spacious and well maintained,washrooms are neat. My room had a L shape balcony with tables and long chairs to sit and enjoy the view of the jungle with sambar deer and few other birds to be seen .They have purposely not put TV in the room such that you have a gala time watching the jungle and spend time with family / friends.Mr Hridyesh was very friendly and helpful in booking our tickets for the Kathakali and Kalaripayattu show , jeep safari etc.||A perfect 5 star for the stay.

This place is beautifully decorated by his owner. Situated near national park. You can see animals from your room Window. Beautiful antique furniture in the room. Nice national park view from the dining area. Truly bliss.

Small treehouse style lodging that is off the street and juts into the park so you are surrounded by nature. Top two floors (where we stayed) had balconies with chair swings that looked into the park, giving you a 180 degree view of the nature, water buffalo etc. A stunning view and peaceful feeling. Proprietor is VERY accommodating. He helped us secure better pricing at Elephant Junction and even accompanied us helping with photos. No breakfast was included, but the price was about $25/night. Go directly across the street for breakfast (as directed by owner) and the breakfast is HUGE and cheap. Rooms are basic, and beds marginally comfortable, but this is an experience hotel, not luxury. Fun stay for 1-2 nights.

Great clean room, and the best location to view the animals from outside your window! The owner is incredibly honest and will go to great lengths to ensure you have the best time in and around the national park. He was open about the fact that when the lake is high there are not alot of animals to be seen that can't be seen from outside the national park, and instead organised us a trip to the mountains to check out some great views of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. ||Not a lot of food options at the hotel but the best restaurant in town is directly across the street with great food and cheap prices. Definitely recommend it here!

We went to Thekkady for celebrating parents anniversary and chose to book this homestay. This is an amazingly built property with good antique wooden work. View from the room is breathtaking. Every thing in and around the homestay is worth clicking and hence we clicked a number of pics. The beautiful set up and wooden work gave an amazing look to all our pics.||||We loved staying here and would prefer booking here only when we visit next.||||A very refreshing stay.||||We dint try the food here. Since we were roaming around, we used to eat from the hotel right in front of the homestay entrance.

We stayed in Meadow View Inn for three nights. By far the best thing about this place is the great view from your room's balcony. You can sit there all day looking at multiple species of deer and an abundance of birds that frequent the water pools. Watching the sun rise and set over the mountains from your room is very special. The room itself was quite cosy and spacious, although the bathroom wasn't cleaned very well. The service, unfortunately, was quite bad. There were times that there was no one present at the premises and the place felt quite deserted. Also, having to pay for wifi when you're paying these kinds of prices for a room seems a bit weird. Although there were some shortcomings, the view made it all worth it.
