★★★★★The Indian summer house was a fantastic escape in the middle of the Indian countryside. The staff were all so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Suresh the property manager was knowledgeable and always eager to help. The actual property was stunning and had fantastic amenities. Everything was clean and the property although was newly constructed, fitted in with original Indian stylings. The food was delicious and the masala chai tea was the best we had during our whole visit to India. ||Don and Mini the owners are very approachable, kind and made you feel comfortable in their property. ||The property offered great excursions and we did the aruyveda massages and the Indian tea and canoe crossing which we would highly recommend. ||We would highly recommend this gem to anyone and have no negative feedback whatsoever. ||We will miss the tea and the outdoor showers! ||Thank you again for having us and as well for the recipes for the amazing meals you made for us! ||Thanks from Shobha, Nick, Simon and Joe

★★★★★The summer house was a perfect fit for a group. It has a number of smaller self-contained villas with plenty of common areas, so we all had our own space but could easily sit down to work together. The food was amazing - the on-site chef prepared a range of local meals and all were delicious. The rooms were great, the beds were comfortable and there were a lot of thoughtful touches around the place. My room even had an outdoor shower! There were plenty of activities that could be organised and we took advantage of a few - we went to Fort Kochi and to temple, had henna done and enjoyed a massage. It was a great balance of work and fun, so we were able to do what we had to do but without feeling like we were missing out. I would definitely recommend staying at the summer house!

★★★★★This was our second stay at the Indian Summer House and we loved it, again!||I was a participant in Caroline's Writers'Retreat and loved every second of it. Caroline is a wonderful mixture of expertise, warmth, compassion, fun and wisdom. I felt very supported and challenged. The one on one "Book Therapy" session helped me improve my writing and provided goals for me to work towards. ||The facial treatment I indulged in was sublime! I swam every morning and lazed about in the pool in the afternoons. The food was delicious and the menu was extensive, with individual needs catered for.||The team who looked after us could not have been more efficient or more caring.||I could not reccomend the Indian Summer House more highly!

★★★★★An amazing experience all around! Mini and Don, our hosts, were friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The grounds and rooms are beautiful, the food delicious (some of the best Indian I’ve had), and excursions/experiences unique and fun. I would highly recommend the Indian Summer House for guests who want to just get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and relax with nature. One small but important thing that stood out for me is that all tap water is filtered and purified so there was zero concern about water/food safety (which one cannot say for most of the country!). As a first time traveller to India, this made my stay just that much more enjoyable and stress free.

★★★★★We stayed here for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. |The property itself is perfect, inside and outside showers. Stunning rooms beautiful decorated with large patio doors that open on to beautiful gardens. Large communal sofas to lounge before or after dinner.|We had breakfast lunch and dinner here and in all our Kerala travels we honestly thought the food was the best, Anthony the chef is outstanding , his dishes were to die for, pepper chicken was delicious. |The villas are set out around beautiful grounds , maybe 5 or 6 of them. The kitchen/dining area is open to all to use the fridge and help yourself to coffee/tea milk etc, fantastic set up. |All the staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble , you can arrange trips out, canoe over the river to a very old tea house, trip to temple on the evening. So many different things to do. We also had a cooking lesson with Anthony and he involved us to the point where we made dinner for all. Wonderful experience.|Lastly we would love to thank Mini & Don , being part of their family on their vacation and enjoying meals and chat made us feel very welcome, such interesting chat about the property and Mini’s dad was such a inspiring man to listen to. |We will be back, thank you .

★★★★★We stayed at Indian summer house for our honeymoon and it is one of the best decisions we made. It was a private paradise that felt like a beautiful dream. The team is absolutely amazing and everything is prepared for you, meals (you can suggest almost anything you'd like and the chef will make something delicious for you... You can even choose your own fresh ingredients at the market, or join the chef in the kitchen for a cooking class.. we'd highly recommend, it was lots of fun and it's great having a recipe to take home and remake and remember all the many joyful and delicious memories), daily yoga (it was a lovely Hata class, with an experienced instructor and a great way to start the day), revitalising traditional massages, dance classes (neither one of us pride ourselves in our dance skills but it was SO much fun.. we just kept on booking more classes), day trips around Kerala (we'd also highly recommend going on one.. or even two), we did a cultural and history tour of Fort Kochi and explored the backwaters and traditional cuisine. Both trips were personalised to have exactly what we wanted and they were exceptionally well planned and organised and completely stress free for us (it was really the best of everything). |Spending time around Indian Summer house was also a highlight, soaking up the sun while using the secret outside shower, swimming in the crystal blue pool, playing table tennis, snaking on the delicious treats left out by the chef, getting into a beautifully made up bed every night, and speaking to the friendly manager and staff. If you're very lucky you may meet the owners, who are absolutely lovely and have a wealth of knowledge about the area and give great advice on what to see and do. |We love Indian summer house, and are certain anyone who chooses to visit will as well (it has a magical feel and you can't help falling in love with it and all the people who make it so extra special). Thank you for a truly once in a lifetime experience and the best honeymoon |Tim and Toni

NillA lovely relaxing place to stay. Rooms are large and clean. The staff here are excellent, making sure to collect you for your excursions and looking after you during meal times. Food here was well cooked and full of flavour. The excursions we did that were arranged by Indian Summer House provided a great insight into local food, drink and culture. Definitely recommend for a relaxing stop during any tour of Kerala.
