Hotel Hathili and Restaurant

Literally the WORST hotel on the planet. The manager was the most rude, disrespectful person I’ve ever met in my life. The rooms are in an awful condition. Sleeping on a road is better than booking that hotel. They won’t even let you use the common washroom post check out. They in fact, take the effort to lock the common washroom. The water in the shower was colder than ice in mid December, the television wasn’t working and god forbid you complain the manager. The gods might hear you but he won’t. Of all the bad things in the hotel, like their rooms, facilities etc, the manager was still the worst thing about the hotel. The manager was not even ready to give the bill for the stay. This hotel is a shame for the hospitality industry and must not be allowed to function. After this, I’m writing a letter to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and tourism dept of the state regarding the same. I hope the tourism department shuts down such awful and overpriced hotels ASAP.

Was skeptical about the hotel after seeing the reviews. But I must say my experience was nonetheless wonderful, I stayed here for 2 days ...though our stay ended, the manager was so considerate that he gave us a room to change and use Restroom. The staff was so kind and the service was excellent. For such a fancy hotel the food price was reasonable and delicious. Ambience was well maintained. I will certainly stay here again and would recommend anyone who visits Ujjain.

We stayed for one day . The location is most suitable as it is near to the Mahakal Temple. Food quality is very good. But my experience during stay was not good. There is lack of basic needs . Electrical kettle is not provided in the rooms. We have to struggle for hot water from geyser for nearly two hours. We have order for two cup of tea and requested for one extra cup for my daughter but they have refused, even on requested to the manager they have not provided the third cup though they have changed for triple sharing of the room. The check out time of the hotel is 9 a.m. which needs to be extended at least upto 11.a.m. We requested to extend our check out upto 10 a.m. but they have denied and asked us to charge Rs 1000 extra for one hour.

I stayed in this great hotel for 3 days but I did not face any problem. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and the rooms were very beautiful. The behaviour of the staff was very good. The hotel rules were that they do not send food to the rooms but the food had that quality and the rooms were very clean. Thanks to the entire staff, everyone had a very good nature.

Bad experience. Over priced. Price of delux room is 4500/- and its not worth it. Size of room is tiny. No window view, no ventilation, and no fan. Washrooms are untidy. Staff is rude and insensitive. They take advance booking charges and on arrival the rooms are not ready. Bedsheet had holes and dust mites. The rack in shower room was broken. Towels are dirty. They have smartly played in decorating the corridors just to hide their poor room service and room quality.

I booked delux room but it 10X10 small room with not a single air ventilation. Room don't have simple kettle also. I got 2 dirty bathroom towel and dirty napkin both are with lots of holes have to change immediately i was shocked did they charges so high amount for this ? Bathroom was clean but for hot not even hot for lukewarm water have to waste minimum 4-5 min. Hotel staff totally non co-operative they even don't help you with single small bags to carry prashad so don't expect any help from them they even don't give complementary water on my check-out day morning and i had to purchase in room service infact a day before I had paid them Rs.1000/- extra for 2 hour late check-out. Good thing is about this hotel is just a location caz it's near to temple. Hope they keep friendly policy for guest, give training to staff to how to welcoming guests with smile and to help them.

You might feel that, the review is basised. But, it's true. This hotel also runs restaurant, they provide regular packed drinking water as regular water and the same is charged. As per the Constitution and Law of India it is necessary to provide free water to the customers. And have not to charge the same. Here, the hotel sells the water in the bottle labelled with hotel name and with such packing that seems to be costly and no one takes that away. The hotel needs to provide free water to the customers as per the law of India. The hotel is situated in Ujjain, MP INDIA. Thus, the hotel is bid by the laws of India and needs to follow the same.

1. I have stayed during a holiday recently, ideally located hotel, constructed with lots of passion only to loot people of certain faith. Below few points shall help with better understanding of situation. 2. Over hyped online reviews which can easily influence for a booking. In reallity these are too Tiny rooms with no air ventilation , sunlight, and smelly toilets suggest its a open loot at this price , while picture online suggests otherwise. Atleast consider offering breakfast at this price 3. Seems the Management has enrolled staff with training to openly treat people harshly, only for checkout at sharp 9am which no other hotels in area ask , its 10am for majority hotels in the area. While this remains as time of check out is same for all the guests who have checked in late evening the earlier day at this hotel. Some politeness expected. 4. Even senior staff are insensitive to speak ill about guests and make jokes about ones choice of food in front of other guests who dont prefer eating in their restaurant for reasons better not be quoted on this platform , yet understood only by smart readers. Unacceptable 5. If you are directly booking at hotel, better to Check upi id before taking a decision, this may look as a trap for people with a certain faith. Hotel name and Upi Id are totally different I may get trolled by this management or hired trollers, both whose real identity will always be doubted and questioned by others readers, but my intention was for buyers to make wise decisions for self and safety of his/her own faith 🙏
