City Palace Resort

Average place to stay on an emergency basis. They have named the place a resort. But this IS NOT a RESORT. It should only be your last "resort" if you can't find any other real place to stay. It's an average hotel. Old property, mediocre maintenance, at a disappointing location. 1. The location is far away from any civilization. No attractive spots are nearby. 2. It's a 2 story hotel with small rooms. 3. There is no restaurant inside the premises and no other eateries nearby either. 4. The staff have forgotten to smile. Not welcoming. But they aren't bad people. Just aren't educated on how to run a hospitality business. 5. Even though the hotel was practically empty, they would want you to "follow EXACT check out timings." I am not complaining, I am just stating facts. There is a scope to improve if they are willing to give it a try and are determined.

Recently I stayed here for 2 nights with family, when I was on vacation visit to Bhimashankar and lonavala. Pros- Room allocated was spacious, with near and clean bathrooms,Bed ,towels etc and good working TV. Found good vibes in the premices. Cons- Only- shops and eaterys are at some distance.You can get food by Zomato.And if your travel outside you will be able to get all. I will recommend this Hotel for stay to anyone

Dont let them give you room no. 206. I had booked 2 rooms without balcony. They gave me 206 & 211 i have added the images of 206 room. There was just a wall fan, i paid 3k for single room that too deluxe room. Room and washroom was spaciuos but vantilation? Wall fan was too far from the bed. After convincing them for another they gave us super deluxe room. Which was not clean, they washroom is big thats why we charge 7k for that room. The drawers were broken and kept of cupboard. They said whole property is booked the except 10 rooms entire hotel was empty. Including my car there were 3 more cars standing in parking. Lets come to food part. I understand they dont have kitchen. But they dont keep ice buckets though they people do need it. Friday they do gave, Saturday night they said "apko bahar se laana padega" When you are taking 12k for 2 nights yoy have made such a huge hotel. It means you must be earning well. Atleast maintain the property. Keep basic necessaties in hotels. You dont even provide any snacks but you provide breakfast in morning it means you do have kitchen and cooks! 1/5 stars

We visited here with our kid. During the stay they maintained the proper hygiene and cleanliness. The staff are very cooperative and friendly. Their service is too good. The only cons is that they don't have an in-house restaurant. So for that if you need anything they arrange it from the nearest restaurant and provide room service.

A very well maintained hotel with very clean rooms, corridors and pool. If only they could make some play area for children it would be worth because other than pool there isn't much to do for kids. The negative part was that the wifi was never working throughout our 2 days stay and there isn't any in house restaurant due to maintenance work going on. They do provide meals on order through a restaurant though.

I had booked this hotel for a family trip. Suffice to say it was a great decision. The hotel is well located, just about a kilometre from city centre. It's a well maintained property, rooms and bathrooms were clean and hygienic. Service was excellent. Their kitchen was closed for reparations but they tied up with a local restaurant for room service and their food was amazing. They have a swimming pool too but we didn't use it. Parking is available inside the property. Rates are reasonable, plan to go on weekdays to get even better rates plus all the spots in Lonavala are super crowded on weekends. The only thing that I would suggest as a change would be to extend the checkout time to atleast 11.30 am. Overall a great experience, would recommend to families and couples alike. Will surely visit again soon, thanks for making our trip a good one! Ps. The video attached is of the deluxe Ac room with balcony front view.
