Great Value for Money place... Underrated. It has a lovely forest in the surroundings. Excellent for birding and bird watchers. Lots of forest birds in the premises. Food was also great. Note : It's not in the best of maintenance, but that adds to the old world charm. Antique lights in all rooms and dining hall is almost in the midst of the forest.

Excellent stay. Staff was very cooperative and humble. Just 15min walk from market. Peaceful environment away from market chaos. Walking distance for many points like echo, lake, etc. Thanks to zakhi and staff for making a comfortable stay. Reasonable rates. Value for money. Highly recommended.

Frankly the property location is good. The service is poor. 3 man team runs the service. The food service is very slow, takes 1 hour for anything. The breakfast was served with great difficulty by 9. The rooms look renovated recently but already needs maintenance. The chairs , tables were dirty. The hotel has a potential only if the management gets proper staff to man the hotel. Not value for money. Also no one knows it by this name, it is known as Maria Cottage , so locating can be difficult.

Beautiful, clean, calm and quite ambience. Very good food worth every penny. Staff is not professionally trained i guess but it really wont matter as they are really well behaved, polite, kind and helpfull all the time. Very good management. You are surrounded by nature from every angle.

Room - the rooms are well designed and spacious for a whole family of 4. They were properly sanitised and kept tidy. Amenities - we were provided with necessary amenities such as shower gel, towels etc. Food - the food here is well worth the price. Very well cooked and delivered to the room in shortest amount of time, hot and ready to eat. Environment - this hotel is located in between a lot of greenery or you can say way into the forest. It is very quiet and ambient to the travellers. Staff - the staff was very helpful and they personally tend to your needs. Check in/check out was done as quick as possible. Location - it is located a bit far from the market but a bit close to the location/point you will go and see. I’d say this is an ideal location for people who like to take long walks out in the nature. Ps. Big shoutout to jacky for being a great host.

Please do not book this through any app. The resort denied that this name actually represent the resort and they have not received any booking. We had to cancel our online booking with lot of efforts and get a room through them offline at a higher price. The resort is overall very nice. Its a little far from Matheran Station. You will enjoy it if your booking is proper.

Mariya cottage, yes this place is known as Mariya cottage. Greenfield is the new name. The staff was too much decent and lots of helpful. The best resort cum hotel experience. The place was so amazing, natural, and clean. They arrange whatever you ask for. Candle nights dinner, games like badminton, carom, chess. And many more. Just stay and enjoy. 100% worthy.

A quiet zone, amidst forest of Matheran, away from the market but not very far away from the market. The rooms are spacious, the premise and verandah safe and ample to make memories with friends and family. Food is okay. Just finding the place for the first time is certainly a task for sure. It was previously known as Maria cottage and under current name if is being renovated..Swimming pool etc is expected to be constructed in near future. The staff and entire team is always on their feet to serve. The place is actually underrated compared to the known overrated hotels and resorts in Matheran.
