SPOT ON 40901 Hotel Woodside

The hotel is situated in the woods and is 15 mins away from the market area. The location is beautiful, the premises has pleasant colours, seating arrangements and a garden area. The food quality is excellent and they offer various dishes for each meal. Staff is friendly. I've been here 4 times and will be here anytime I visit Matheran.

This hotel is a 15 min walk on the mini rail tracks from dasturi naka. Main market is 8 to 10 minutes away so it's all peace and beauty here.The staff is polite..the food is tasty and hats off to the chef for that! Any season is good for visiting matheran. Each one has its own charm.

Woodside restaurant is one of most favourite stays in Matheran. It is a 10 minute walk from the Matheran station. The best part of the place is that it is far away from the crowded places of Matheran. You get a good privacy and love in a serene environment. It serves decent vegetarian food and have a very good service staff. You can enjoy your time here. Read books, enjoy the toy train passing by or horses passing by. This is a pure veg restaurant and an amazing staff to support you. You may not find first class amenities here. But the service and the food quality is very good. A simple menu and a delicious taste adds into your memorable moments of the trip and this hotel is surrounded by trees which is home for many monkeys. These monkeys wake you up.

The property is nice, far from the market area. A 15-20 minutes walk to the market. It is not maintained at all. The rooms were horrible, washroom condition was bad, beds and linens were not in a good condition. Food was okay. Its not worth the cost. The outside area is very nice with a few games to play.

Nice place to stay with family. Away from main crowded market. If you want some loneliness then definitely good place. 15 min walk from Matheran station. You will have Veg food only. For Non Veg, you need tell them in advance. Sunset Point and Monkey Point is 1.5 km from here.

The rooms were small and not maintained. The food was average. The washrooms were not well kept. The bed and linens were uncomfortable. The play area was clean. Hot water is not available throughout the day. The hotel was is very far from the main market.

This is the best place you can stay and enjoy a nice weekend getaway in the tranquil valley of Matheran. Woodside is the most eco-friendly and budget hotel with the best food and accommodation services. The staff is cordial and the services beyond perfect. Delicious meals at reasonable cost prepared that give you a taste of home. The rooms are clean, hygiene and sanitation matters taken special care of. The environs are beautiful, calm, and the resort itself is within stone-throw distance from the market. There's no pool however, and that is something that one may miss. For me, however, if I ever choose to visit Matheran, it will always be Woodside.

The rooms were horrible, the washrooms were not maintained at all. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. The food was bad. It is very far from the main market. The outside play area was nice and well maintained. The property is good but not maintained at all. Its not worth the cost.
