Hotel Rainforest

This place has very beautiful view and dining area is realy great. Food is also good and have good varieties here for both veg and non-veg.Service is good. Overall good place for lunch/dinner.

My recent visit to the hotel restaurant was frustrating enough to warrant one. To start, the service was painfully slow—even though the place was barely half full. It took over 50 minutes just to get a table, water and menus, and the waitstaff seemed disinterested and inattentive the entire evening. The food was another letdown. I ordered the sweet corn soup, which came with the scotch bride srup. My partner’s crispy chilly potato dish was even completely tasteless and on the name of crispy we ate a overcooked potato. For the price point, we expected at least decent quality. Unfortunately, it tasted like cafeteria food dressed up to look fancy. The ambiance didn’t help either. We left hungry, disappointed, and significantly lighter in the wallet. There are far better dining options nearby—skip this one unless it’s your only choice.

We had lunch there today. So my rating is based on that experience. We opted for vegetarian sizzler. It was very beautifully presented and very delicious. Portion size was huge - sufficient for three to four people. Service was good. Staff polite and friendly. But the high point is the view! I can sit the whole day there feasting my eyes and the soul.

If you’re looking for fine dining, you might actually find finer service at a roadside stall. A steel wire in the soup was the highlight of the evening, everything else was just downhill from there. For the prices they charge, the experience was shockingly poor both in food and service. Disappointing doesn’t even begin to cover it.

From long time always prefer this restaurant with my family and friends while visiting mahabaleshwar. Previously on a date of 9 august 2025,I was there with my family (6 persons At that time I asked them to combine 2 tables together towards a 'beautiful view' side empty table instead of the middle side but the staff refused to do that. I was disappointed but ignored the same. Today on 22 august I was there again with my mother . I observed that at 02.20 pm,there was a group of people who came and asked them to combine the table towards a 'beautiful view' and surprisingly staff allowed them immediately even without objection. Staff or management must treat all customers equally, however I addressed this issue to management but I hope they will take care of such situations.

There was no hot water, and the water supply kept cutting off. They ruined our holiday. We stayed for two nights and had to use another room just to take a shower. There are more comfortable hotels available at the same price, or even cheaper. I recommend choosing another place.

We visited Rainforest Hotel.for dinner for both the says of our visit. The ambience n food n Service all was great . Valley view of was perfect Only one thing was missing was music rest all was up to the mark. Next time we are sure if we plan to come here we will plan our stay at Rainforest.
