One Earth GG Regency Hotel Amritsar (80 Steps to the Golden Temple)

Stayed here for three nights with my family. The hotel is really close to the golden temple. The rooms are clean with modern equipments. They have an in-house restaurant as well. The food is delicious! The only thing the hotel can improve on is their service. Their service was very slow.

We had bad experience here. The hotel is extremely overrated and over priced. There are much better hotels for the same range at the very happening front side of the Golden temple. Hated the attitude of the manager. Our trip turned out to be horrible because of the attitude of the manager. Overall, bad experience. Would not recommend.

I have travelled around the world. And to almost all states in India. This was my 2nd visit to Amritsar. This hotel showed the worst attitude. The manager is so arrogent. Absolutely not worth the money. Its walkable to the back side of golden temple. But there are several good hotels for a better rate in the more happening front side of the Golden temple. We had worse experience because of this hotel! Would never recommend it. I would rate -5 for this hotel!

While the location of this hotel is good, that's where everything good ends. Room - 1/10 (No windows, stinks) The first room we entered had black water when my wife opened the washbasin tap. It was extremely disgusting. The AC in the room was noisy as a jet engine. When we complained the staff was like "what more do you expect". When I strongly said we cannot stay in such condition, either you give a room that's livable or we're leaving (after I had already paid) they reluctantly gave us a room and acted like they did us a favour. The new room didn't include breakfast as it was a "favour". That was for good as breakfast looked very awful - we preferred to not even try that, instead got some cookies from outside. The new room wasn't that much better but at-least it didn't had black water coming out of taps. Shower - 1/10 (impossible to shower properly, forget about washing hairs) Towels - 0/10 (we ended up using our own towels, it's better to buy a new towel than use a towel like it's washed in dirt. Smelled like dirt as well.) Bed 3/10 (bad mattress and linen - it didn't stink as bad as the bathroom) Bathroom 2/10 (the shower isn't screened so there's water everywhere. Exhaust is noisy as jet - it's effective at the cost of your sleep) There's no window in the room. Overall it's a 1 star hotel and that's being generous. Avoid if you can.

If visiting Amritsar and paying your respects to Golden Temple is top on your list, One Earth GG Regency Hotel is the right choice for you. Just meters away from one of the entrances to the holy place, it offers great convenience if traveling with elderly. The staff is very courteous, the lobby welcoming and the rooms very neat and clean. One thing to remember is bringing in your car/van within these premises is difficult (not impossible) due to narrow roads. We had to often depend upon the rickshaws that are available in abundance. Even those have limitations how far /close they can go to the central premises around the temple. Overall good stay and very happy

Excellent property to stay! So close to "Golden Temple". Feel like home. Courteous staff! Food and decor of Restaurant is nice. My room - I am staying is very good and having a view of the temple. Worth staying.I will surely come and prefer staying here again in my next visit.

Location is okay but on the back side. Pathetic pathetic pathetic! PLEASE DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL! The manager is areogent and they are not at all professional! No parking and they charge 500 per night for that too. Please dont book this hotel. They lie and when asked to check the cctv, they dont even do that! Bad experience overall

Stayed with family for 2 nights in this Hotel. Located almost at the gate of Golden Temple is an advantage. They make great food but don't serve it to you and cancel orders abruptly. Breakfast sucks and cockroaches roam around on food. Service is extremely slow. Only positive point is location
