Guntas Residency (300M From Golden Temple)

Biggest advantage of this place is it's very near (300 mtrs) to golden temple and jallianwala bagh. The owner is very helpful, friendly and provides genuine suggestion on how you can visit all tourist places in most pocket friendly way. Room size was slightly small (decent for single person, could be challenging for two). Cabs won't be able come till hotel given its very narrow lane, but e-rikshaw and Uber/rapido bikes are accessible. Recommended based on my solo trip.

Bound to give 1 star as option of negative star is not there. Worst hotel ohh sorry dharamshala(Honestly) I have ever stayed in my life time. Don't go by reviews. All fake and paid reviews. My biggest mistake booked online after seeing the reviews and pics( Entirely different from actual room looks) sent by them. Room sizes are too small and untidy. No cleaniness. One room was full of ants. There were not even a single toiletry in washroom not even a soap to wash the hands. No toilet roll, no hand towel. Bath towel was stinking as if not washed from so many days. Bed sheets were uncleaned. Local LED that too not working. Owner is so rude and full of attitude as if he is owing TAJ PALACE and he was drinking liquor in his office room in the hotel. U can imagine what kind of hotel it is. Lot more to write but instead all that I'll say finally even if u get this hotel free of cost still don't stay here. Numerous other far better and cheaper hotels in surrounding places are available.

We pre-booked a room, but the manager threatened to cancel the booking if we didn’t pay an advance the day before our arrival. I paid ₹1,000 as a token for a ₹1,400 per night room. We reached the hotel around 10 PM after a difficult one-hour journey from Amritsar railway station, as it is quite far inside. The rooms were very dirty, very small, and had a weird smell. The location is also not good. This hotel room is not worth more than ₹400 per night. Kindly avoid this place.

The best hotel we could ask for! They helped us with everything we needed! From ordering bus tickets, recharging a SIM and recommending food and places. Everything clearly with a smile and in an honest and pleasant way. The rooms are pleasant and clean with towels, kettle and hand soap. The hotel staff helped us get to the bus and took care of every detail we needed to arrive safely. I will never forget their generosity and caring!

Walkable distance to the temple and easily accessible. Room was little bit dirty. Towel had stains and bedsheets were not changed/cleaned. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall for budget stay it is passable.
