Hotel SK Paradise near Akal takth sahib

We have booked 2 rooms with booking ID NH71210275296184 and Booking ID NH77092275567938 at Hotel SK paradise for 17 and 18th Aug and paid the room tariffs online at make my trip payment gateway. But while check in they refused us to check in and demanded the room tariffs in cash. We were stranded in the lobby for more than 2 hrs and finally logged a complaint in toll free no of MMT . MMT suggested to change the hotel and shift nearby and confirmed to refund and give compensation for 30% of the invoices value extra. But in Application only one room have been cancelled. The other room with booking ID NH…7938 still showing active. |Please resolve the issue and refund the amount as discussed.

This was the worst stay of my life . They literally had no staff only 1 person was working for the entire hotel Even after telling them hundreds of times that their Air Conditioner is not working they would say to wait. They also wouldn't help us communicate to the owner of the hotel. They gave us messy rooms which were disgusting and uncleaned. Would preffere you to not book this hotel for a family stay. The staff was eagirly ready to fight when told to clean and fix the rooms. We got our rooms at 2 am in the night. Which were also not cleaned this was so Dissapointing. We called them at 3 pm and got the rooms at 2 am. The staff was not helpful. Please do not book this hotel and try to stay away from these type of hotels

Room was good but the owner was pathetic. First gave some price X and then refused after Checking out our interest. Raised the price.
The toilet was smelly and this chap refused to offer even the basic amenities like soap bar in the washroom.
A customer might retaliate because of bad services so forced to make full payments. For that matter full payment was not a problem but the attitude of the owner was.
I’m sure for everyone reading this review, a delightful host makes a lot more sense.

Read my other reviews, I don't normally complain and always try to give a balanced view, in this case neither was possible. ||My wife and I were originally booked into the OYO 24073 Hotel Hari Darshan but upon arrival were told that the hotel hadn't had any electricity for 5 days and wasn't expected to for the next few weeks. The manager phoned his boss who said that we should cancel the booking through Agoda and come to his other hotel (the S.K. Paradise) around the corner. ||Foolishly we did.||Let me start with the positive, the hotel appears to be quite new, it's about a 5 minute walk to the Golden Temple, they have the menu to The Brothers Dhaba (one of the best restaurants in the area) in the room and the room has air conditioning.||On to the negatives:|1) it's located in the 'old city' which means that taxis, UberEats and most people trying to find it can't, the street is more of a wide alley, not wide enough for a car but mopeds, motorbikes, tuk-tuks and pedestrians all squash together, with the rule being go as fast as possible and sound your horn as much as possible. Trying to walk down these alleys with horns blaring, jumping to the side to avoid being hit by traffic, looking to make sure you don't tread in dogs mess, all of these things together meant walking around the hotel area was not a pleasant experience at all. The first horns usually start around 6am with the last around midnight so if you want to sleep make sure that your room isn't at the front. |2) despite breakfast being included and being told upon arrival to order from the in-room menu, when we did so we we told the next day that breakfast was supposed to be either, toast with butter, toast with jam or a vegetable sandwich, and tea or coffee. Accordingly we ordered tea & coffee (no sugar in both) and a vegetable sandwich for 8.30am the next day. At 9am the next day I rang reception and 30 minutes later a tea and coffee (both with a lot of sugar, no good for my wife who's diabetic) arrived with a sandwich which I think contained a thin layer of coleslaw inside. Unimpressed I spoke to the manager /owner and said in future a tea and coffee (both unsugared) at 8.30am every morning would suffice.|They failed every day, it was always late, and at least one of the drinks always had sugar on apart from the penultimate day when they managed to deliver one coffee (without sugar) 2 hours late! It was like Fawlty Towers.|3) The room itself was reasonably large and the bed was big (but very hard) and as the single pane windows didn't open the room smelled rather damp. |4) The staff - Now some of the issues we had were no doubt language related and as their English was better than my Hindi or Punjabi I'm going to gloss over those. However, the playing of loud music in the reception area from around 6am until 10pm is unnecessary and not considerate to your guests.|5) Air conditioning and hot water - I've never been in a hotel where you had to ask for them to switch the air con on at reception (they had a fuse master switch) or go out to the landing to switch the fuse on for the hot water; maybe these things are normal in Amritsar but not in Mumbai, Goa or Kerala, or anywhere else in the world we've been. ||If you're coming to Amritsar for a day or two and want a hotel close by then you may well be able to do worse but personally I wouldn't try. ||One last thing, the manager / owner appeared to be trying to sort things out but never seemed to succeed, I don't know if it was the staff or him but either way, sadly you usually had to ask at least twice to get anything done; being generous it could have been a language issue occasionally but sometimes it obviously wasn't. ||I can't imagine we'll be back to Amritsar but if we are we won't be returning here. Think twice, this is not another day in Paradise. ||

It was a nice experience…..owner was very good….walking distance from golden temple… well decorated and cleaned hotel… there was everything which i want…. Every single facility is available… awesome stay and staff is too good….wonderful experience loved it a lot..🫡🫡

Third class room.. washroom is not clean.. aircondition is not working....room service is also not Good....and i ask to hotel management they called to mafai type gunde,.it is not safe... don't Go in this hotel...waste of money and not save to family...

Trust me there was no room maintenance. staff was also not polite the owner is also very rude When we point out his mistakes and said that we want a refund he started abusing. Don't go there😔
