Great Stay Near the Golden Temple – Just Missing a Window View I recently stayed at City View With Garden Hotel, located just a short walk from the Golden Temple, and overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The location is absolutely perfect – being so close to the Golden Temple made it incredibly convenient, especially for early morning or late-night visits. The surrounding area is lively yet peaceful, and the hotel is tucked in a spot that offers both accessibility and quiet. The staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay. They were attentive to our needs and provided excellent service, making us feel right at home. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were always ready to assist with local recommendations or transport arrangements. The cleanliness and maintenance of the property were commendable. The rooms were tidy, the linens fresh, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was calm and relaxing. The small garden space added a refreshing touch and made the property feel a bit more serene amid the bustling city. However, the one major downside was that the rooms do not have any windows. While the interior was comfortable and well-kept, the lack of natural light and outside view made the room feel a bit closed off. If you're someone who enjoys waking up to sunlight or a bit of fresh air, this might be something to consider. That said, everything else — from cleanliness, hospitality, location, to value for money — was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and friendly stay near the Golden Temple. Just be aware of the room layout if natural light is important to you.

We were looked after extremely well by the Manager, Avijeet. We arrived early morning and offered a room to rest in until our booked room was ready, a map was given with all the information we needed including recommended restaurants. The room and bed was very comfortable and clean with effective air conditioning and a hot water boiler in the bathroom for hot showers. The manager welcomed us every day throughout our 4 day stay with little treats like masala chai, complimentary breakfast, tastes of different foods he was cooking etc. and helped us with any information we needed. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to the main tourist areas but in a very quiet side street. We would highly recommend staying here on your visit to Amritsar.

The rooms were well maintained. The staff was very cooperative. The manager Mr Abhijeet was very helpful. A nice place to stay in peaceful environment at a comfortable walking distance from golden temple.

The room was not very spacious but warm and clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large and well-functioning. The location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from the Golden Temple and from a rickshaw station. The staff was very friendly and kind. The breakfast was good. A highly recommended hotel! My only complaint: the hot water in the shower didn't last long.

The hotel is very close to the market area and golden temple... Our stay with them was very pleasant... The staff was very cooperative and helpful... The service provided at this price is unmatchable... Highlight of the stay was that they don't charge for the water that they provide to the guest and they offer it upfront while your having your food.. you don't even have to ask for it .... You should definitely stay at this place if you are planning to visit Amritsar... I

Everything was perfect! All the team is very welcoming and ready to help with anything. The rooms are big with nice bathrooms. Delicious breakfast in the small garden. We were even able to put our bicycles inside. Highly recommend

Room was very good neat and clean , one of the plus point is the owner of the hotel is extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit places to eat and also arranging tuk-tuk rickshaw for nearby commuting .. maximum 500mtr to Jallianwala bhat and golden temple

We stayed here for 2 nights and had an excellent experience from start to finish, thanks to the efforts of the friendly and informative manager, Mr. Avijeet and his support staff. The location was excellent in the heart of the old city and an easy and interesting walk to the Golden Temple, with lots of restaurants and grocery stores in the neighbourhood. On arrival we were given a very useful hand drawn map of the immediate area and attractions. We bought a day tour from the hotel at a reasonable cost and were very pleased with the itinerary and the considerate driver. Our room didn't have a window but was large enough, cool, peaceful and comfortable with a good shower. Very good value and we would certainly be back.
