Hotel The Surya Jaisalmer

We had a lovely stay at Hotel The Surya! It is such a convenient location, super easy for sightseeing. The staff welcomed us with smiles and were super attentive- they helped us organise a Jeep Safari as well as transport to and from the station as we were coming and leaving at odd hours. The room was lovely and spacious, just needed some up keeping. Our only complaint was we asked about hot water and were told it was turned off because it's too hot. However, every guest has different requirements and some still like a warm shower to relax in the evening. All of the food we ate at their restaurant was delicious and fairly priced also. Highly recommend 😊

We stayed for two nights here with family. Overall it was a good experience. Pros: 1. Food was very tasty and fresh (especially the Rajasthani choorma). 2. Roof top view was very nice and staff was amiable. 3. Mr Surya (manager) was cordial and amicable. 4. Room was clean and cosy with beautiful view. Cons: 1. There is a heavy tip culture prevalent and staff expect tip after every service. ( I believe that is common in Jaisalmer itself). 2. We were overcharged for the desert stay experience which we booked via hotel manager. Same was available in much cheaper rates with better experience if we would have booked from outside.

I just visited The Surya Hotel, Jaisalmer in the previous week. Nice stay. From delicious dining options to cozy 'Maharaja' rooms with stunning views, everything exceeded my expectations. The friendly and helpful staff were there for every need of mine. 'Sukur Dada' is great. I will recommend others for sure!

One of the best view inside the fort from a comfortable roof. The staff is pleasant and the situation offers you a quiet place even during the day. It' s clean.

What a great experience in Hotel Surya.. I visited in October and the staff greeted me with a smile 😊 and the owner is so friendly and also takes care of their Guests... The rooms are decorated well and clean with hygiene and the rooftop restaurant will blow your mind... Lovely view and lovely behaviour of staff and owner...... Thank you Shashi Kant Singh.

Easy to reach by auto from the railway station. No fuss location and property. Has an earthly vibe. Clean washrooms. Hot water can be arranged if required. Get the room with the fort view. 2 adults and 2 kids below 10 can comfortably stay. They arranged desert camp and a short trip to Longewala and Indo Pak border as well. The desert camp was in Khama Ghani desert camp which was average. Better camps are available nearby. They have a rooftop top restaurant that serves delicious food. Prices are not fixed, ask for break up of each item.

Excellent stay Inside Fort. If you do not stay here you will miss many thing in Jaisalmer and your tour will be incomplete. All staff are well behaved food nice . Lal mass is very nice room was very nice bhanu good person thanks

A great hotel for a very fair price. Incredible views over the city and really nice terrace. The staff was super thoughtful and eager to help
