MEWAR VILLAS

I'm from the UK but I live in Udaipur for 6 months and always stay at this hotel, now named Hide in Udaipur|The room I stay in overlooks beautiful Pichola lake it is a good sized room with large double bed and lovely window seat. |Hot water provided all time & good shower.|Beautiful views from the roof top restaurant of the lake and Aravali mountains. The staff are great and do a good job of looking after you. I honestly feel part of a big family here. Nothing is too much trouble. I will return in December 2023

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and had booked a room on double occupancy with breakfast. It's located very close to City palace.|Our room had excellent view of lake Pichhola and the city. Room had nice sitting place in the room to enjoy outside views. Room was equipped with normal toiletries. |In breakfast, they provided vegetarian meals and were tasty. Next day, we requested meal for fasting and they honoured our request. |Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay and may stay again on our next visit.

This was a very good hotel on different keels. We had rooms with a view of the lake. Worth it. Large light rooms with lot if seating space. Fabulous location, nice people. The manager made an effort to make us comfortable, very appreciated. Great roof terrace to chill over some snacks. All around , great experience.

We had a 2 night stay at the hotel. We checked in early. The hotel staff was courteous and provided us with the vacant room as per our booking. The rooms were fine, but i think the pricing was a bit high. The Hotel Manager Mr. Manish was very helpful and provided us best information and arranged for conveyance to travel nearby locations in Udaipur. Overall a decent stay.

Mewar Villas is a nice property very close to many monuments. ||Pros:|- Nice spacious rooms|- Polite staff and they helped us to get our luggage to the room since there was some construction going on and our vehicle could not come to the hotel|- Basic toiletries are given, but please note you need to ask for anything else such as a kettle, etc|- Very close to monuments such as Jagdish mandir and the city palace|- Good view of the lake, since we took lake view rooms. Not all are lake view, so book accordingly |- Has a lift, so it is easy if you have senior citizens|- We had booked 4 rooms initially and had to cancel 1 room at the last minute. The hotel staff was very polite and understanding and helped us to get a refund for that though we had booked through an online portal. ||Cons:|- In the old city, so approach roads are quite narrow, but this is true for any hotel in that area. But please do note there is a paid parking nearby and the hotel staff will guide you|- All necessities such as a kettle are only provided when you ask. They do have everything though.||Overall, recommend staying here.

Spent 3 nights at Mewar Villas and was very happy with the service and location of the hotel. The staff were very friendly especially Manish who helped book bus tickets for when we left and also helped us out with our laundry. The hotel has an amazing view of the city and water which is perfect with a early morning coffee or a late night beer.

We loved our stay at Mewar Villas. The hotel has a great location, it’s lake side & is walking distance to City Palace and other important tourist spots. We had a nice big room with lake view. The room had great artwork. The roof top restaurant serves good food & has a great view. We enjoyed our stay, will be back soon!
