Mewar Haveli - At Lake Pichola

Beautiful Property with a Great View, but Rooms Feel Cramped The hotel offers a fantastic lakeside view and a beautiful property overall. The staff is friendly and helpful, and most sightseeing spots are conveniently nearby. However, the rooms originally designed for two occupants have been converted to accommodate three or even four people, making them feel extremely cramped. With just 2-3 luggage bags, there’s barely any space to move around. The hotel food is average, but thankfully, there are plenty of alternative dining options nearby. Overall, a great location and view, but the room space could be better utilized.

Highly recommend this hotel. Great location in the old city. Sensational view of lake from restaurant and rooftop - exactly like photos on Booking.com. Room was clean, water was hot and plentiful and even though we opted for a street/ no view option we still had a view of the lake from our window. Food in restaurant was tasty and the included breakfast was very generous. The staff were incredibly helpful and could not do enough, making calls on our behalf and making sure we left from the correct bus departure point. They even allowed a late check out on the day of our departure when I was feeling under the weather. Thanks Mewar Haveli!!

Recently visited Udaipur due to summer vacation. This place was suggested so I enquired about rooms. Despite being off season they didn't offer any discount. Rooms lacked any sort of intercom, so we had to go up and down for getting basic amenities like drinking water. There is no power backup for power cuts, we experienced 2 power cuts in 2 days. The wifi provided is very pathetic. The rooftop restaurant is way more expensive than it should be. Lastly we requested for a few hours of extended stay since our train was in the afternoon and their checkout timing was in the morning, they straight away refused and charged us half day rent despite the entire hotel being almost vacant.

Our stay at Mewar Haveli was very comfortable. The room was clean and lake pichola was also visible from the window. Rooftop cafe served good food and music. Location is perfect, as no time will be wasted in reaching tourist spots. Complimentary breakfast was good. Rooftop mattress should be cleaned frequently as they were not tidy. Else everything was upto mark.

This property has Lakeview facing rooms and the full lake pichola view from their rooftop restaurant is awesome. Food is great, only veg and little towards pricey. Staff behaviour is very friendly. Service is top notch. All the tourist places are very nearby from this hotel. We had a very comfortable stay.

Aesthetic rooms , prime location so you can access nearby tourist places. Reception and staff are so friendly - they even give u information about nearby tourist place and all. Incredible rooftop restaurant - you can access anytime even if you don't want to eat. So overall it's steal deal...😊👍

Amazing staff, and people here. Really friendly and helpful with all the things. Great view and our overall stay was pleasant and enjoyable as well. There is live music playing on the rooftop during dinner time which can take you down the memory lane could just be the cherry on cake you need along with the delicious food that this hotel offers. Value for money on all items, be it rooms, service, food, etc. Really worth the stay and killer views. You can enjoy one of the best sunsets of your life here.

Our stay at Hotel Mewar Haveli was nothing short of magical. Nestled right on the edge of Lake Pichola, this charming haveli offered one of the best views in all of Udaipur—waking up to the shimmering lake and watching the sunset over the City Palace from the rooftop restaurant was an experience I’ll never forget. The haveli itself is full of charm—tastefully decorated with traditional Rajasthani touches, clean, cozy rooms, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect escape after a day of exploring. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was the warmth of the people. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in with us personally to ensure we were comfortable and happy. It’s rare to feel so genuinely cared for while traveling, and this place absolutely nailed that homely vibe. The staff were equally amazing—always smiling, helpful, and quick to go the extra mile. Whether it was arranging local sightseeing, suggesting hidden gems around the city, or simply sharing stories, they added a personal touch that made all the difference. And a special shoutout to the chef—every meal we had on the rooftop was delicious and made with so much love. The food tasted like a home-cooked Rajasthani feast, and combined with the panoramic lake view, it was the perfect way to unwind each evening.
