Our experience in this hotel is good. Rooms are specious, clean. The location is good. Just 5 minute walk from MG marg. Room service, food are very tasty, reasonable price. On a clear morning you can enjoy mount kanchanjungha from hotel room.

Kanchen Residency looks a little bit drab and doesn't have an overly welcoming atmosphere, however it has all that you need. Our room was VERY spacious and hot water was great! Don't expect any special services, but it does have the basics and is clean and tidy enough. Location is probably a 10 minute walk from the main street (very uphill on the way back to the hotel!).

First and most important thing to tell about this place.. DO NOT go by its looks.. it may appear a bit shabby.. plus they don't have a lift. So you'll have to walk up to the 2nd floor.. room with attached bath is neat and clean (NOT extravagant)... HOWEVER, if you are lucky enough to get a clear sky, the view of Kanchenjunga that you'll get from this hotel room is unforgettable.. I'm not sure how many so called luxury hotels have rooms with such view.. to top it, all these are extremely light on your pocket.. food was good.. service boys were polite and helpful.. definitely going to return here!

A very nice hotel to consider if you are looking for a relatively cheap place to stay in. Rooms are spacious, clean, with unhindered view of the kanchenjungha from the balconies. The staff also addresses all your issues promptly ensuring a pleasant stay. This place is definitely recommended.

Located very near to M G Marg just 5 mins walk down. Looks wise the hotel is nothing special. But rooms are huge with clean beds and bathroom clean.Staff is very helpful. View from room is good. Overall good budget hotel to stay at Gangtok.

This place is a low-budget hotel. Don't recommend it for families with kids. If you just want to spend a night and not bother about comfort then its OK. They arrange for breakfast and dinner but not worth the money.

Very very bad service, very bad. Room size is good, but quality is bad . Rooms are dampened. Bed cover is very dusty, glasses are kept in tray where a insect is wondering. Highly not recommend.
