Hotel Yalung Retreat - MG Marg, Gangtok

I always Write geniune review and always try to provide right information. I personally suggest everyone that please don't ever stay in this hotel even if this is your last option for you. The owner is very rude and he don't know the word 'Hospitality. After reading so many negative reviews I ignored and booked a room in this hotel for my upcoming trip but I was wrong and after seeing the rude attitude and unprofessional behaviour of hotel owner I had to cancel the booking. Please don't go to stay at this hotel specially if you are on family trip otherwise your trip would be spoil.

Rooms and toilet are not clean , foul smell from room and toilet. Bedding /bed not good unhygienic. I booked room on agoda but room is deferent from image very poor condition not recommended staff saying online rooms are fixed.Never book this hotel online.

Rooms are not veru clean . Food is average,service is good but when you open window you will smell he'll.

Very good hotel to stay near MG Marg, The service was also top the notch . Very friendly behaviour of staffs. The only con is Food charges are little high.

Location wise great. Just in front of M G Marg. Rooms are good and Clean. But entrance is very steep. Elderly persons can't go to the hotel. Moreover no place to parking of cabs. Very difficult to move from here with luggages. But hotel staffs help a lot. This hotel has a restaurant. But food is not available on demand. One has to order first. Accordingly they will prepare food. Free wifi available here. Most of the time wifi works

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of days during my Gangtok visit. It is situated at the central location very near to thakurbari temple and the MG market. Overall a pretty basic hotel with economic tarrif. The staf iss very courteous and provide timely service. The rooms are clean but pretty basic, don't expect any luxury here. Good was infact was delicious. Try their aloo paratha. View from window are good from few rooms only. Check rooms before you check-in. Overall a satisfactory stay.

The 5 star rating is for hotel management team. The manager is very helpful and soft spoken. The property is worth 4 star(Google rating stars). The hotel is centrally located within the town. The famous cable way is at walkable distance, MG road is also at walkable distance. The main problem of the hotel is, it doesn't have proper parking area.
