Hotel Fair View Gangtok

ITs a fraud. first they forget the calculation and later i paid for a day that they missed. Then after 3-4 day they say that the some pipe is broken in the room. As i am statying with my parent and we do lots of travel throughtout world and know the basic ethics to take responsiblity. In that he say after 3 days that the pipe is broken and very shamelssly ask for money, still i agrred to pay 600 insteed of 1000. Better dont stay there are many . Very bad expereince overall.

Pls don’t go to this Hotel. Driver will take to you this hotel on Mg marg. Receptionist is absent minded , after payment of Hotel charge, he will forget. He claims again to you. No room service. If you stay more than one day , they will not change bed cover and pillow covers. Two times I stay there, both are bad experience.

In one word, disappointing. Well, I was brought here by a taxi driver, fellow Nepali speaker, who recommended this hotel in terms of facilities and services. To be fair, 1000 rs. (Tax included) for a room of this level of maintenance is already high. Feels like the Housekeeping staff do not carry out their job properly. The host wasn't rude, but lacked any sign of hospitality and seemed like he was there by force. And the food was the WORST I have had in the past week. I asked for 3 rotis and a chicken curry. I got 4 rotis -- thanks for that -- but chicken curry comprised of 2 chicken pieces (thanks for the big portion) dipped in oily gravy and lacking taste... I provided 2 stars for promptness of the manager in providing service despite lack of smile on his face, a cheerful young employee, the extra roti (not billed) and big portions of chicken despite the horrible curry.

Hotel Location is very good just 2 mint walk able distance from MG Road and rope way. Staffs are very good. Mr. Sharma, manager is a nice person. Rooms are specious and well ventilated. Room service is satisfactory. All rooms are having geyser and 32" Led TV. Mr. Sharma is very co-operative for arranging package tour and Local sight seeing taxi with reasonable price. Overall I can say it is worthy to stay at Hotel fair view Gangtok.

The hotel room is neat and clean,but the behaviour of present lessee Mr. Madhav Sharma and his wife is horrible. First they must learn some behaviour. They have some attitude problem. ||The other staffs are good . The owner of the hotel is very polite.|| But the food quality is poor. You can stay here but dont take lunch and dinner from this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel from 24th to 26th May 2017. I have never seen such a bad quality hotel. The rooms are so uncleaned, FREE WIFI, BUT YOU CAN'T USE IT. When I asked them for WIFI SIGNAL, Got the Strange reply that it was because our rooms are closed. They expect us to keep the doors open to use the WIFI. Unhygienic. Rooms are VERY MUCH OVERPRICED COMPARED to the QUALITY. The Plates in the Dining so uncleaned. Very difficult to eat. The Hotel Manager seems to take commission from the taxi he books for Sight Seeing. The manager told us that The Taxis will take us to 15+ View Points, but the taxis took us to ONLY 6 View Points, but charged us Rs 2500/ each (We had booked 2 taxis). The Manager asked us to give them that amount. IT WAS A CLEAR CHEATING. When I asked him the to book an Inova for gangtok to NJP and asked the Charge , he told us it would be Rs 3500. But we booked another Inova ourselves and paid only Rs 2500. ONE MUST BE VERY VERY CAREFUL. BEST IS NOT TO STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Only Plus Point is the Locality of the Hotel.

Visited the hotel in the last week of May. A busy season. The room was clean but the furnishings are bad. The mattress was bad and the hotel was providing only one towel. This may be because of the heavy rains. But the service was good. The location is excellent with close proximity to the MGRoad shopping area. The view of Kanchenjunga is excellent. These thing will outweigh the discomforts of the hotel. The owner of the hotel is nice gentlemen and helped us in arranging the travel. Though for the comforts of the hotel the ratings will be a 2 star the service and the help of the hotel management and view of Kanchenjunga will outweigh to give it a 4 star. Please do carry towels when u visit this hotel. I would suggest the management of the hotel to improve the furnishings to make it a great hotel

I stayed here few days ago. Bedding and the sheets are very poor. All the pillows and pillow covers are very dirty. Not clean at all. The only positive thing was that geyser was working well. No proper power points. TV is there in all the rooms but not working. Staffs are not friendly and even if you say a food order, they don't listen properly. They provide incorrect food orders which is of low quality. If you don't get any rooms at allbin Gangtok, then go here as a last choice 😂
