Sparrow Cherry Resort Near MG Marg

Location and service are good. Staff are very comparative. You will definitely have the view of mountain from the balcony of some rooms and the hotel yard. MG Marg is not so far. One can reach there soon on foot. Most of the rooms are well furnished with modern facilities. But, one or two rooms' taps are old fashioned. These rooms should be maintained with adequate water supply. In short, you can stay at this hotel without hesitation and natural view must catch your heart. 💚

Sprawling premise with homegrown nursery and abundant variety of flora. Spacious rooms. Great view. Super courteous staff. Decent food. At a walking distance from the MG Marg. Accessibility of four wheeler and parking.

It was a pathetic experience. My husband's friend booked this resort through Go Ibibo. But when we reached the hotel the rooms shown in the website and the rooms we were allocated was completely different. The rooms were shabby,dirty walls with gutkha stains on the walls. Rooms were smelling bad. Washroom was broken and was in a pathetic condition. No staffs to carry your luggage. We decided to check out and demanded refund. They initially refused to credit the money. When we showed them the pictures of the rooms in go ibibo, they said the pictures are 10 years old. Also they said that based on the amount the rooms are saggregated. But the same was not uploaded in the app. The owner waa not picking up the phone also. Go ibibo was trying to contact the reservation desk and also the hotel phone number that was uploaded by the resort but the number was not contactable. We then had to call gangtok police station. The moment I took the pictures of the guys in the reception and my husband started to speak to the police they immediately emailed go ibibo to issue refund. We got the refund within 48 hours. One entire day was wasted. Please don't ever try going to this resort. They are cheaters and fraud

There was no water. Everyday we had to wait 1 hour in the morning. Food was worst. No taste. Had to go to other restaurants. Staff is good though. Location as well good. 10 mins walk to MG ROAD. Amenities wise as well a bit average. Should not spend much on such rooms.

Super nice View since it’s private land the area is quite nice and peaceful no disturbances, the garden is amaizing to stroll, the rooms are worth the price including the services and the location is really great walking distance to main tourist spots.

Rooms lacks privacy, especially the forest view. Street lamp light comes directly on eyes throughout the night. White curtain is only for name sake.

Right now we are waiting for the room cleaning services after checking into the room. The receptionist is not helpful at all she is very good at arguments I must say…still we are waiting for the services..time waste money waste they spoiled the mood.…

Loved the place. We stayed here for 4 nights. Initially there was some issue with the room book, but it got sorted later, hence giving 5 star. Our room was without breakfast but we ordered in room breakfast here only on all the 4 days, as it is convenient to stuff yourself in and then leave for sight seeing. Breakfast option is limited, but it’s yummy. We even had dinner on one of the days. Below are the items we tried: Alu Paratha Poori sabji Chicken Fried Rice Omelette Vegetable Khichdi Chicken white sauce paste All the above were yummy. And since we were with kids, we loved the fact that nothing was spicy. Area is also very good. It is walking distance from the main market area - MG Marg, Laal market, New Market Road. There are a lot of eateries nearby and shopping area. There is a shopping area under construction, called the West Point. MG road is very near from there. Overall a wonderful place to stay - great location, yummy food and very helpful staff.
