Hotel Siddharth

The hotel is within MG Marg area. One has to come down around 50 - 60 steps from MG Marg. This is a budget hotel with basic amenities. They arrange for trips to other parts of Sikkim. View is good from 2nd floor and 3rd floor. Restaurant facility to be improved, though everything is available in MG Marg.

Place is not that much good. It is in mg marg but the rooms are not good. Those rooms are very much dirty. In peak time they are charging 1500 to 2000 for a double bed room but the quality of that room is not even 500. Washrooms are not good. Beds lookss very much dirty. When you enter a room, you will get a not good smell. rooms are not proper organized. For everything you have to ask them to give.

From the hotel MG Marg is around 50 steps up. If you get a room in 2nd floor or above, you can view mountain ranges. They are having plan for renovation in a couple of months. For any sight seeing the hotel arranges car. Restaurant facility is to be improved.

This place don't deserve any star rating..... Nothing is good about this place.... सबकुछ घटिया.... Hotel owner and his wife Sandhya gupta is very ill mannered.... Most dirty and worst hotel in gangtok... which can destroy your beautiful holidays...

Food quality and hotels staff are very good. Hotel is famous for bengali food, Manager was so helpful and the best part is hotel was situated in MG Marg opposite half Gandhi statue. But it is quite old Hotel.

This is a budget hotel for solo travellers who dont worry much about cleanliness or facility. I would give a rating 5 for this hotel for two things - 1) The location as its in the middle of MG Marg which is kind of the happening place in Gangtok. 2) The staff is very friendly and helps us with the trip in very short notices especially like the one to Nathulla pass which actually requires getting a pass to go there. They helped me with the trip to Nathula and later to Lachin and Lachung for a very budget price. Otherwise from cleanliness point of veiw its really poor and no much of other facilities. I was ok with it stayed for 4 days.

I don't want to give any star to this hotel. No clean linen no clean towel,, no sufficient blanket,, wherever you stay you got towel according to person,, here you get only towel for one room, no matter how many person staying there. In rooms you will get TV but without set top box,,ha ha ha,, No late night check in,,even you can't go outside after 10 PM,, otherwise they will charge you fine for disturbing them. Wow,,, amazing,,,see another hotel before booking.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. First of all I chose that hotel because of its location near to M G Market but when I called hotel to ask address, they told that Hotel Siddharth is not available, you go to Hotel Himalayas. Himalayas is far from MG Market. I checked in in Himalayas where there was no Room service, dirty rooms, dirty walls, no phone, No Kettle, No working Geyser ( We have to check Out without Bath). Hotel manager (Lady, Namrata (Truecaller Name)) was very rude and staff was even more rude. At the time of check out (6:30 AM, already informed about early check-out during Check-in) staff denied to take out luggage from Room to Taxi. I have to take two big Bags from 2nd floor. On top of that, staff asked for Rs. 20 for xerox of my Ids. When I denied, Lady manager asked me to go out and take xerox. After sometime, one male manager came and understood the issue and told we will take xerox. What a silly thing... I won't recommend this hotel to anyone ever.
