Magpie Libing Grand Hotels and Resorts

Room was pathetic. Absolutely disgusting. There were so many stains on the sheets. The floor was greasy. The rug had food in it. There was dust in the kettle. There was no toiletries. As soon as I entered the room I had a dust allergy. Staff is also untrained. Receptionist forgot to take id and let us in the room. Other housekeeping staff just enter the room without asking as if they own the room. The food was extremely oily. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the security guard was a good guy who helped us a lot. God knows how this is a 4 star hotel. I had to pay 10500 rupees for 1 night. In kolkata you can stay at 5 star hotels with best facilities for that price.

Such a lovely property located in the heart of the town and so peaceful. Very convenient for shopping and plenty of eateries as you step out of the hotel. The rooms are very spacious, so are the bathrooms. We requested for some no onion garlic food and they were so kind to prepare it with care. We are very grateful for that. The room service was very prompt. The staffs are efficient and very courteous. We had a wonderful stay.

I stayed at Magpie Libing for 7 days and my experience was exceptional. The hotel is strategically located at MG Marg, and has spacious and clean rooms. The staff were courteous and helpful.Long story short, I enjoyed my stay.

This is a very good hotel, 1) location right on the MG road, so easily available shopping, restaurants , food options. Convenient to visit all tourist spots. 2) Room very spacious, clean, spacious toilet, we had booked a family room which had twin queen beds and a small balcony. 3) Food - excellent . we had Breakfast and Dinner included in the package and loved the food quality. Staff is excellent. One of the best options in Gangtok. Go for it !

Excellent place and great location! Thank you so much for the amazing experience. We (friends) stayed for 4 night and our days were really busy. The warm welcome every time we entered the property and the hospitality by the staffs made us feel at home. Spacious and comfy rooms, delicious food and excellent service. Great hotel and comfortable stay. Located on the MG road above Pantaloons showroom. Vehicle goes till the reception, vehicle entry is on the MG road. I have opted for a family room, very spacious and clean. 24 hours hot water availability, breakfast spread is good. Staff are courteous and service is good. They proactively offered me packed breakfast at 6.30am on the day of the check out.

I am sorry to have faced such disgusting behavior from the staff. Despite having an inner staircase and a lift available, they directed me to use the outer stairs on my way back after checking the room. Additionally, they only showed me one room, even though another staff member mentioned that there were other available rooms.

Lovely hotel at the MG marg . Big and spacious rooms , well maintained rooms and very nice decor. Courteous staffs and the food was nice. The best part is , it is at MG marg. Jus walk out of the hotel and u can start shopping at MG marg. Also few of the rooms have lovely view too.
