Montis Soyang Premium Heritage Hotel

It was a one night stay here during our west sikkim ride. This hotel is located within 500 meter diameter of the Mg marg. Which is a 2 minute walking distance. The hotel reception and the lobbies were nicely decorated with a great Buddhist theme. Rooms were nicely decorated and had all the basic amenities, but without a balcony. And there is no view room also. But I recommend this hotel due to its close vicinity to the Mg marg but also away from the crowd. Another positive thing was their large parking space. Which can access a number of cars and motorcycles.

Please never stay at this montis Soyang premium Heritage I had a very bad experience at hotel I booked a suite room for 3 nights in which they are not given basic toiletry item not any dental kit and most importantly their room service is pathetic they didn't respond any call they didn't provide water also which is very basic thing to provide a guest .

Rooms were not so clean. In my room, the cupboard had some dirty clothes lying there. Most of the staffs had a good behaviour but some of the staffs had a very unprofessional behaviour, and were misbehaving and giving unnecessary attitude when an issue was asked to be fixed. Also when I informed them about an issue and asked them to fix it, they took forever to fix that issue.

The hotel staff gave us the worst experience in Sikkim. They gave us a package to visit LaChung which was roughly 30,000 incl stay, food and travel but the hotel they made us stay was hell where we didn’t have water for the whole night and morning. When we complained it to the staff at Montis, they didn’t even listen to us and the manager had a very bad attitude. The Staff in Lachung even threatened us. These guys work on a complete commission basis and i would recommend to never stay at this residence. Even the breakfast served was slow and the staff was very unresponsive.

I stayed there for 3 nights with my elderly mother and few other relatives. Though we were told that the hotel is wheelchair friendly, there were around 15 steps and no ramp to the rooms. There are 50 steps to the restaurant and another 30 steps to the shops at M.G Marg. So this place is clearly not suitable to elderly or people with mobility issues.||Overall the hotel looks dark and rundown with many narrow corridors, stairs and alleyways.||Also they don't provide any heating or even room heaters, so be prepared for cold nights under blankets.||Overall cleanliness is good and food is freshly prepared and tasty. The staff are kind and helpful.||The location is very good as it's right in the middle of the central shopping area of MG Marg. The ropeway is within walkable distance.

Apart from being located at MG road, this hotel will not fail to disappoint you in any aspect possible. The rooms are like any ₹300-₹400 tariff hotel with utter disregard towards cleanliness. the carpet on the room flooring were dirty. the bathroom taps were all leaky and loose. there is a very very small wooden box for storage in the room, which doesn't serve any purpose. dispite being in Gangtok (a chilling cold place) and the hotel claiming to be a luxurious one, there is no room heater provided. the add-on of free breakfast was nothing but to cheat you of your money. only two items in the breakfast and the tea tasted like sweet hot water. the staff here were rude but were also not courteous and not at all eager towards providing a comfortable experience to the guests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a decent stay for the money they spend.

1. The facility was very nice. With wooden interiors it provides a royal look for a reasonable price! |2. Staff were extremely professional and helpful. They provided a lot of help and local guidance.|3. Food was amazing! We ate all meals in the hotel itself, except when traveling..|4. Facility is located right next to taxi stand and so transportation was so easy.
