The Golden Retreat - Hotel in Pelling, West Sikkim

Recently stayed here for 2days. We had a room with balcony. Best view of Kanchenjunga from the rooms. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Food was tasty. Multiple option for food was available. If you want to have best mountain view all day long you can choose this hotel.

Hotel the golden retreat one of the worst hotel i stayed till date. No one came to receive our baggage when we reached hotel. The food which we ordered for dinner came after 1 hour. Morning breakfast was not there as the staff told the chef was ill. We had only bread and chai in breakfast At the time of departure no one was there to take our baggage to the car. As we have to transfer the baggage ourselves by taking 20-25 steps. We are highly disappointed by the hotel as well as the service.

Stayed with Family and friends for 2 nights on Nov 2024, Good Things: Rooms are good, View we can see "kanchenjunga" view from room balcony. Bad Things: Service is not good, Restaurant food is not at all good. Always power cut and for hot water we need to ask for to switch on the generator.

The hotel is located 25 to 30 steep stairs down. The services are not good. They are short staffed, breakfast is not Available on their given time. Food service is very slow, they provide only one slipper per room, they charge separately for room heater. No toiletories, water heater does not provide sufficient hot water. Not recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights with family. Hotel main entry is 40 steps downwards from road. All the staff are very helpful in nature. They will do their best if you need anything. View of kanchenjunga mountains are memerising from room and balcony. Food is also good.

If you planning to visit pelling , must stay in Golden retreat hotel upper pelling. Room quality, service , staff behaviour and location everything was perfect. The breathtaking view from room u can't miss. Overall satisfied with service . Will visit again

The room and bathroom quality is very good including the views. I like their cleanliness. Assistance of the staff is very much appreciable.
