Maitighar Holiday Home

We were visiting with three elderly parents and a small child. Unmatched hospitality and affection shown by The owners. Felt like home. They put extra effort for your comfort. Home cooked organic food is finger licking. There is no fixed menu and food is prepared as requested. The home has three rooms - two at the first floor and one big room at top floor. The view of Kanchanjugha can be seen from top floor room's window. All rooms have wonderful view of the valley and Himalayan range. Highly recommended.

Located in one of the most peaceful areas of pelling, hotel maitighar provides you with serenity which makes you feel at one with nature. The kanchendzonga is a welcome sight at dawn and is bound to freshen your mind and rejuvenate your soul. The sound of buddhist prayer from a nearby monastery that nestles among the surrounding hills adds to the charm of hotel maitighar. We were the first guests to have lodged at the homestay and were greeted with neat rooms and a wonderful homely ambience. The cordial nature of the Pradhan family are commendable indeed and they were the icing to the cake of our trip. The sikkimese cuisine was brilliant and I recommend all to try their indigenous herbs or shaak. Never did we feel alienated as we were treated like family members rather than guests. We will always suggest our friends family and acquaintances that to relish the flavor of sikkim, they should pay hotel maitighar a visit.

Located in lower Pelling on the way to Darap and Kichuperi this Homestay has all the comforts you need in a quiet and visually spectacular hilly setting.||The Sikkimese food that you'll be treated to is made from the freshest local greens that'll make your body feel soo very nourished while also tingling your taste buds.||Not to say the least, but the love with which the family takes care of your needs is truly heart warming!||Highly recommend this place to all those who wish to have a comfortable homestay experience.
