Divine Doors Kodaikanal

Please avoid booking this resort. I don’t know why they have 4.5 rating. I am sure it’s paid rating. 1. Roads to reach the location might be risky if you have a 4 wheeler. The roads inside the gate of the property is also not maintained to drive. 2. The rooms are dirty, smelly and bed sheets and pillow covers are used ones. Wooden floors not maintained. Broken, cracked floor. Dusty like never cleaned. 3. No power backup. They run with some temp backup which will work for 1-2 lights in the room and not for charging point or geyser. 4. Service staff is not professional at all, not well dressed or hygiene. 5. They served stale food in the morning “idli and sambar”. Without salt sambar and they don’t have bowl or spoons to serve or eat. 6. If you complain or raise concern to the owner he will stop answering the calls. You can see staff’s family drying daily cloths out of your window. 7. We checked out in the next morning as no power whole night also till 10am in the morning. No hot water due to fail of power back up. The owner refused to refund after raising all these complaints.
