Hotel Taj Avenue

I just had to book a place fast and fell for the unusual high score at Booking.com, clearly some fake entries. The place doesn't do credit cards, but that seems to be common for cheap places, it seems. The location was... well, in the middle of nowhere in a questionable area, why that would be a plus for some people, I have no clue. Reading some of the other reviews on this place, I really wonder what people are comparing it to? This place was not nice. I have been traveling extensively all over Asia, this is by far at the very bottom of my scale. Mostly because it pretends to be something it is not. It kind of looks ok on the pictures, but bot in person. Bedding was dirty and ripped, mattress was absolute garbage. The room had over 26 mosquitos that I collected in a huge death pile. No window in the room, so I'm not sure where they had entered. The entire place is so noisy that I woke up every couple of hours and especially at 6AM when someone in the reception started shouting. I would definitely not go back and not recommend the place either.
