Karwaan by the Ganges

The view is no doubt good and peaceful specially at night time . But it gets very silent outside and night. So if you are someone who gets those midnight cravings please already make your arrangements. The staff is nice and accomodating There is no parking on site there is parking a little away so please keep that in mind. Also there is not a lot that happens on this side . And you have to travel a lot to go on the other side where tapovan and upper tapovan area and various other famous eateries are so also keep that in mind while booking. Room maintanence could be a little better as one should not feel like running away from it because of smell . The lane that leads to it is quite narrow therefore traffic is also an issue at all important times . There is a thing about room and bathroom cleanliness and smell that wasn't going away

We stayed at the place for a weekend. It was a perfect place to be at, by the Ganges! Wonderful location, amazing view and the Staff is very polite and accommodating. The food is value for money and good too! It's right in the market so has an easy approach to cafes and other places. Would love to come back!

Location is very good. Staff is not professional. They were fighting with staff and threatening them to throw out from hotel.

We stayed @ Karwaan for 2 days and it was a very good experience. 1. The staff is very good. 2. Food is awesome, all cuisines. 3. The location is fabulous, you can walk. out of your room and have a scenic view, very calm. 4. Parking is tricky, though the manager (Ajay ji) will help you out in getting your vehicle parked. I recommend staying at Karwaan. Kudos to the team Karwaan.

I came here for a yoga retreat, and the view and the rooms did not disappoint. The service provided was good, and food at the cafe was exceptional. The rooms I stayed in were good for me. There was also enough space to do yoga in the morning and a seperate area to chill with my friends on the terrace.

The staff were friendly until someone stole $350 from my room. Even though the hotel gave me most of the money back, they handled the situation very poorly. No one apologized or showed empathy for the situation. Instead they made me feel like I was in the wrong. The beds are comfortable but the rooms lack sound proofing so you can hear everything happening outside. The mornings and evenings are very disruptive. If you are seeking a peaceful stay, this is not the place for you. The best thing about this hotel is that you are right on the Ganga Ji.

Excellent location and view ! Very polite staff, good food. I have a small feedback that please give water bottles in the room when asked ( you can charge money for it) - it’s very difficult to climb stairs all the time and reach to the water filters to fill up water bottles. I was travelling with my senior citizen parents so midnight they had to go to filters climbing stairs for water. If you are travelling with elderly people stairs might be an issue to get to the restaurant or rooms ! Rest if you are young group of people there is nothing more cosy and comfortable than this place. Excellent!

The hotel is right beside the great Ganges. You have an amazing view of the ganga and just 2km away from Ram jula. Their river rafting package seems a little fishy as they ask different price for different people and it's not long enough. Other than that the hotel location and facilities are great
