Tripti Guesthouse

I stayed at Tripti's for about 2 and a half months. My stay was quiet and comfortable, thanks to Ankur's (cafe owner) manager Manas and his staff. They were very accommodating and considerate of me as a guest throughout my stay. The place has a cafe out front with a space to spend your time in the back right by the stream. I had an amazing time, made good friends with everyone there and recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay close to the highway and enjoy the quiet of Rishikesh at the the same time.

I was very satisfied with my staying there. Big room, big balcony with great mountain view, clean room, very friendly and cool staff, especially Manas&Ankur, who are very heplful with everything. The food is great and the prices are not so high, comparing to other guesthouses &restaurants in Rishikesh. What i liked the most is that the river Ganga with its white sand beaches are just near the TRIPTI Guesthose, and u can spend some magnificent peaceful moments there, doing meditation, ||yoga or just chilling by the river.

Tripti is an excellent budget option for a single traveller (or couple) who like to have their own space. Rishikesh is full of accommodations, but anything cheaper you would have to share room with others.|| Also, some accommodations don't have hot shower, or just for limited time. This was never a problem at Tripti. || Rooms are very basic, but if you just need a place to sleep and a bathroom, it is a perfect choice. Cleanliness is ok for indian standards, location is really great.|| Tapovan is the nicest and more quiet area of Rishikesh. Many nice places in walking distance. The main road is a little bit noisy, but not too bad.|| There is also a nice restaurant at Tripti, where it is safe to eat. The food is always made fresh to order, it is really tasty and good value compared to other restaurants at more central areas. || The biggest advantage of Tripti is the extremely friendly and helpful staff. They will do all their best to make you feel home. Polite and helpful to the top, no matter what your request is. || All the internet prices for accommodation in Rishikesh are slightly higher than booking something in person, so next time I will book only for a few days, and then find another place locally (or negotiate at the place I book).|| If you are looking for simple but good value hotel in Rishikesh, Tripti should be on the top of your list.

I have travelled solo to many cities in India but never felt as let down by hotel staff as I did here. This place is a classic example of an how the level of respect and care shown by hotel staff falls after receiving consecutive good ratings on a travel site. The restaurant kitchen has only one cook and a helper ( who doubles as room caretaker/ waiter/receptionist) , so the service is terribly slow. The food was average. We were billed extra for food we had not even ordered for. When we brought it to the waiter's notice, he was unapologetic and instead made it sound like we were lying about not having eaten the extra order ! He did drop it after much convincing though. Still no apologies.||||The hotel is bang on the highway, so lot of loud noises from trucks passing by early morning left us with sleepless nights.||||Also the other issue I have is with the vents in the bathroom. They are totally uncovered , around 4 feet wide and a foot broad. Big enough for rats or monkeys to enter ( Rishikesh does have monkeys freely roaming in the streets) Infact the caretaker himself told us during a conversation that in one of the rooms a monkey entered the bathroom and ran away with a toothbrush! In some rooms the vents open into adjacent bathrooms. Thats pretty scary and could be embarrassing if the adjoining bath is being used by someone. These definitely raise safety concerns for me as a female traveller. But most importantly my opinion of the place is that the authorities need to learn to take responsibility of untoward incidents which happen on their premises and should learn to be more empathetic.

I stayed here for a week, the room was clean, well-kept with a great location to the Topovan area along the highway. The bathrooms were connected through the ventilation, but privacy was not an issue. Wifi was excellent, and I felt very pleased with the stay. The manager, Manas, was a great guy to have help me in any way. Would recommend :)

After spending way too long in Delhi, it was nice to go somewhere with a comfy and cute outdoor area to enjoy a chai and a meal. Also with a game that was enjoyed with the caretaker Mann Singh, who is extremely good! He is so lovely, friendly and accomodating. Our room was huge and everything was clean and comfortable.

They are Fraud dirty swimming pool so many smokers are moving around in the camp area open drinking it's not safe with family and also not for the any kind of guest I recommend don't go in this camp and please avoid this camp if you don't want to spoil your day

I stayed in the dorm for one day and one night. The dorm is very comfortable and the prices are cheap. The staff is very helpful. I accidentally left my driving licence there, they got it couriered to my home in Gujarat. The food in Karma cafe is great and is at reasonable prices. I'd recommend the place to anyone going to Rishikesh. :)
