Upon our arrival in Kolkata, we encountered an immediate challenge with local solicitors, which unfortunately set the tone for our stay at Hotel Quest International—a place we chose based on promising reviews and an escape from the chaos. The initial impression, facilitated by a seemingly courteous manager, quickly deteriorated, revealing the hotel's true disappointing standards. Room Conditions: Air Conditioning: Our room, advertised with air conditioning, failed to provide any relief from the city’s heat. Despite multiple requests to the staff to activate the AC, we were met with a bewildering refusal and excuses, highlighting a lack of responsibility and customer care. Maintenance: The AC, when turned on, merely circulated warm air, contributing to an uncomfortable environment that starkly contrasted with our expectations of basic amenities. Staff and Management Behavior: The hotel's staff displayed a consistent lack of professionalism, from denying services to exhibiting annoyance upon our requests for assistance. A particularly distressing interaction with the hotel's management escalated our discomfort. When we decided to check out early due to the unsatisfactory conditions, the manager's demeanor was not only uncooperative but also confrontational, insisting on payment for a full day’s stay despite our brief tenure of less than three hours. Security Concerns: A concerning policy regarding the withholding of our passports until full payment was made added an element of coercion to our departure, a practice that is both unethical and distressing for international guests. Misleading Information: Promises of hotel amenities, such as a rooftop swimming pool, were proven to be false, with staff dismissing our inquiries and later claiming it was under construction. Conclusion: This experience not only marred our visit to Kolkata but also highlighted a severe lack of hospitality and customer service at Hotel Quest International. The misleading information, poor facility maintenance, and distressing interactions with the staff were far below the standard expected by any guest, let alone during the sacred time of Ramadan. We urge potential visitors to consider alternative accommodations to avoid the hardships we endured. A hotel experience should enhance your visit to a new city, not detract from it, and unfortunately, Hotel Quest International fell severely short of this basic premise. One of the most distressing experiences encountered at a hotel in Kolkata involved a series of unfortunate events. The foremost issue was the unsatisfactory behavior of the staff members. Despite reporting that the air conditioning unit was not functioning properly, the staff continuously denied the issue and delayed providing a solution. In an attempt to rectify the situation, they even conducted a one-hour test of the air conditioning system, inconveniencing the guests. Requests for a room change were met with further delays and denials regarding the malfunctioning AC. To exacerbate matters, when the guests decided to depart from the hotel due to the intolerable conditions, the owner insisted on full payment for their brief two-hour stay. This situation not only showcases the lack of empathy and professionalism on the part of the hotel staff but also highlights a disregard for guest comfort and satisfaction. Such experiences can significantly the reputation of a hotel and lead to lasting dissatisfaction among patrons.

Very poor service, bed is not clean, washroom has no sleeper, 1 soup for 2 person. Washroom tissues is paid. 1 star hotel service more then best from this hotel.staf are not professional. Over all bad experience.

I was staying there from 2 jan to 5 jan. their staff did not well behave. they assign an out of order room for me. the hotel location is a narrow road no ricksha or car did not enter there. a small lobby and only 2 or 3 people sitting there. the room condition was very poor. housekeeping staff did not clean the room properly. in the door shows milk tea sport. bathroom entry marble/tiles were not clean. in rooms, tiles were broken in some area. the bathroom was not clean. they did not change bathroom amenities for my 4 days staying period. the put one set towel in the bathroom my check-in date but do not change the towel during my staying period. the hot water did not come properly when I called maintenance they did it repair. breakfast has limited items and every day they provided luchi and bread.

The Inn is very serene and peaceful. If you are looking for a reasonable place to stay with family, this is ideal. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. Their buffet breakfast is pretty standard. Rooms are spacious. Housekeeping is standard. Commuting from the Inn is convenient.

no intercom, no service. wifi does not work. people related to this hotel isn't well mannered. no toiletries were provided after the 1st day. room service took extra 10 rupees for bringing water bottle without asking. room and bed were full of red ants and dusts.

This hotel is located in very sweetable place. From here new market, good restaurant, shopping mall- all these are in short distance. Hotel staff's behaviour are pretty good and helpful but breakfast quality is very poor. Room and toilet are very neat & clean and well decorate.

Costing INR 3300 per night two room interconnecting. It was a right choose for hotel at Kolkata. Clean rooms have windows for light. Open surrounding, Excellent Breakfast and Well behaved staff. Recommended for stay again. Just 100 meters from Shamoly Bus Counter. Lots of Muslim Hotel Nearby. Amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!
