Decent hotel. Location is excellent and very near to New Market and you can roam around multiple places from this hotel. It is right in front of the major Kolkata’s Hogg market.||Staffs are excellent, especially Mr. veer was very pleasing and he made our stay so comfortable.||The negative side is when you on the corridor or pathway, always smoking smell was coming. This is unbeatable ||Overall good for first timers who mainly come to Kolkata for shopping.

The Lindsay is one of the nicest hotels I have ever visited. The hotel is located in the bustling New Market neighbourhood, which has a lot of street vendors and eateries. The hotel has easy access to Kolkata's main attractions. The gracious courteousness of the hotel staff, even the security guards, amazed us. We are grateful to Mr. Vishal Shaw, who assisted us in organising our itinerary in addition to assisting us with taxi reservations. The hotel also serves good food and have a vast breakfast menu and it was delicious too. The bed linen and the washroom was clean and hygienic. Above all, the behaviour of hotel staff is very appreciative. We will undoubtedly recommend this hotel to our friends and relatives.

I had a comfortable stay at Hotel Lindsay from the 21st to the 24th July. The hotel’s location is a major plus—right in the heart of the market area, making shopping and local sightseeing extremely convenient.||A special mention goes to Veer, whose exceptional hospitality truly stood out. He was always attentive, helpful, and made sure all our needs were promptly taken care of. His professionalism and friendly nature added a personal touch to our stay.||Overall, a pleasant experience and great value for the location.

I chosen executive room, stayed three nights, great location , beautiful surroundings. Verious type of mall and shopping market just walkable distance. |# Hotel staff was very cooperative and professional.|# Hotel food was very delicious and tasty. |#In breakfast lots of items added, all the cooked items was excellent.

I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so overwhelmingly negative that I feel compelled to share the full extent of my frustration. To say I was disappointed would be a monumental understatement. This establishment has deteriorated beyond recognition. What was once a place I could recommend without hesitation has now become a place I wouldn’t suggest even to my worst enemy. Let me start with the staff – and I use the term “staff” very loosely here, because what we encountered was a group of individuals who seem to have been trained in the art of maximum rudeness. They were VERY RUDE. VERY VERY VERY VERY RUDE. I cannot stress this enough. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were a burden rather than guests. No greeting, no smile, no courtesy – just dismissive glares and snappy, condescending tones. Any simple request was met with eye rolls or outright ignoring us. It's one thing to be understaffed or busy, but it's an entirely different and unacceptable thing to treat paying customers with open hostility. But sadly, the staff was just the beginning of the problem. The overall quality of the experience has dropped off a cliff. Everything – and I mean EVERYTHING – has gone downhill. The atmosphere feels neglected, the cleanliness is questionable at best, and there’s a pervasive sense that no one cares anymore. What happened to the standards? What happened to pride in service? Even something as simple as the welcome drinks, which used to be a lovely touch, has now become a joke. The variety has decreased dramatically – once a small but delightful detail that made the experience feel special, now reduced to bland, watered-down offerings that feel like an afterthought. What used to be five or six flavorful options has now been cut down to maybe two, and neither of them were palatable. It honestly feels like management has completely given up. It’s as if they think no one will notice the decline, or worse – that no one cares. But I noticed. I cared. And I walked away from this visit feeling cheated, unwelcome, and genuinely upset that I spent my time and money here.

The hotel's location is good, and everything is easily accessible nearby. The rooms are very clean and well-appointed. The breakfast was awesome, and the staff was very good and friendly.

Pros: 1. Location was ideal for me as it was close to my office and new market is right there at its doorstep. 2. Housekeeping staffs were prompt in cleaning the room. 3. Room condition is good with working ac and clean toilets. 4. The complimentary Breakfast service was top class with wide range of varieties of veg and non veg items. 5. All staffs i.e. reception, restaurant, bellboys and watchmen were professional. 6. No annoying tip begging from staffs unlike other hotels. Cons: 1. Room was bit congested even with a nightly stay of rs.4k. Slashing the prices by a few hundred rupees would make it perfect and not feel over priced. 2. Same goes for the restaurant menu. All items were way over priced. They even added gst on the mrp of bottled mineral water.

Had one of the nicest stays in kolkata with clean spacious rooms and a hearty breakfast the day after. Such an experience would not have been possible without the consistent efforts from Veer and team. Looking forward to my next stay here.
