HOTEL GOLDEN INN

The manager was great. He behaves very politely with everyone as well as foreigners. The rooms and decoration of the hotel is good enough to stay 1 to 2 weeks. The quality of their food is also fine, halal for Islam

I did not like the Hotel Room especially 101. Firstly the location is so wrongly updated that any person visiting here for the first time will get confused. It took almost 1 hour in searching the Hotel via Google Maps. Then the room has no any socket near to the bed or any cupboard/drawer. There is no any soap etc available in the washroom. Door Lock also didn't seem to be very safe. Walls are leaking it seems, with old paint. Everywhere i was finding dusts. The windows were fully opened with very dirty curtains on them. No telephone given in the rooms. Overall, can not take another risk of staying here again. It must be very cheap in price that's why, nothing is as expected. But still, any hotel room must keep in mind Customer's safety, comfortness, cleaniness etc which were definitely missing in this particular room for sure. I strongly do not suggest this Hotel, especially this room. Thank You.

To be honest room was pretty reasonable comparing to New market area hotels. It was clean enough and service was good. Location was pretty decent as well.

Where to start!!!??? The staff is horrible, unkind and unpolite. Especially a guy who worked at the reception, he looks at you unfrendly. Table cloth speckled and torn, dirty silverware. Food awful, too! Room service awful, too! I am very disappointed and this was my worst holiday. The rooms, bathrooms and elevator are dirty, The tablecloths are so dirty that we could hardly eat. The hotel has no ventilation and it is a really sauna inside. I never stayed in a hotel more dirty as this one. Before getting there I read comments on internet, and I didn't trust them. Please trust, it is worst than words can say. I think the managers of the hotel need to clean this miserable hotel and their soles. And also AC was not working there , as wire was damaged....they did nothing for that.....and behavior was worst .... I highly recommend that you do not go to this hotel!

Behaviour of the staff-horrible. They won't even provide you a bottle of water from fridge when you're paying 1800 per night. The staircase is dirty. If you complain about anything, they'll tell you to leave their hotel promptly. They don't know how to talk politely, like most of the hotel staff in Kolkata.

Nice Hotel for the price (Rs 1500 as of 2017 March). AC rooms with nice room service. Nearby metro (Esplanade) makes it's easy to go anywhere in Kolkata. Rafi Road being one way makes it difficult to return at the evening time as any vehicle has to come via Park Street.

Staff was very ill behaved while check out and very polite while check-in. They agreed to keep the luggage for some time after check out in the lobby in the beginning but when we gave the keys back they denied to have agreed on any such thing. We had to argue for half an hour to have our luggage kept for 4 hrs.
