I Visited Mookambika temple in Sep month. I was really worried after seeing many negative reviews about this govt guest house. But i don't know whether it's Gods grace or my luck, I had a comfortable stay. The positives: AC, FAN and geyser were working very well and the wash rooms were very neat. Now coming to some minor negatives there are no doormats outside washroom. Overall it was a good stay. People who wish to post pictures about their accommodation, this is not the right place. As some people commented that the staff are not helpful. If by your luck if things are fine you would meet the staff only during check in and check out.

Please don’t stay here. We booked AC rooms on 28 Sep 2025. We booked 3 rooms. The building is very old . The ceiling was leaking. The corridor was filled with rain water . Bad smell all around may be because of wet mats. Many unused cloths were also seen in the corridor. Smell was coming out of the wet waste bin. The rooms were in bad condition. Wet walls, damaged wet and foul smell spreading sofa, old and dirty coat and bed. Fan covered with thick layer of dust. Wet bathroom mat.Foul odour all over the room. We opened the door to get rid of the bad odour . But then monkeys have entered room. Then we opened window. But no escape. Since we already booked online and paid, we couldn’t cancel also. We stayed in the same room for entire night by tolerating everything and we escaped next day early morning itself.

Govt is just usurping temple money. Great disservice to devotees. Very unhygienic space. Feel pity for the cleaning staff, who are trying their best, but they are just stressed and overworked

Pls carefully read and then book room. This guest house Managed by Govt. So service is also like Govt. Standard. AC room is available at 800rs and same can be booked online. Coming to some interesting fact about rooms: 1. AC rooms are only available at 3rd floor and no lift to reach so you have to climb with your luggage. 2. Hot water may come or may not it's all about your Luck getting which rooms. 3. Majority of rooms have Indian toilet so enjoy. 4. Rooms are horrible to stay. 5. It's quite far from temple and no Autos available. 6. AC is only available in paper so if you think AC rooms are best so change your thoughts. 7. I gave feedback to government officials and they said next time don't book.. lolz issue solved

On 19th July 2025 we booked a dormetry for 7 people and the experience was very bad. Dormetry rooms have no bed and no furniture. We lay down in the floor only. Also there is common toilet for all rooms, which was non hygienic and too smelly. Not good for family. The services are very bad.

Dormitory hall has only 2 beds rest they provide mat and pillow. Buy it's neat and clean.

The guest house is located near the temple around 600 meter but the rooms and bathrooms are not very hygienic. The fan makes a lot of noise, which causes a major disturbance while trying to sleep.

Stayed in jagadambika guest house; Rooms are spacious with beds, chairs - however stinky; damp walls; visited in Aug - monsoon - maybe that’s the reason. Excellent location , just opposite to temple; For the price they charge it’s the best.
