I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I made my reservation, the process was seamless and efficient, setting a perfect tone for my visit. The front-office staff were exceptionally welcoming and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable. Their friendliness truly made me feel at home. The room was immaculate and beautifully appointed, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring. I was impressed with the attention to detail and the thoughtful amenities that made my stay even more enjoyable. Safety measures were clearly a priority, which allowed me to relax and enjoy my time without any worries. The activities offered were a highlight of my stay. There was a great variety to choose from and each one was organized with care and enthusiasm, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all guests. While the cuisine was enjoyable, I felt there could be a bit more variety in the menu to cater to different taste preferences. Overall, my stay was delightful and I left with fond memories. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming retreat. I look forward to returning and seeing what new offerings they might have in store!

Excellent resort nestled amidst nature, perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The surroundings are beautiful, the atmosphere is calm and refreshing, and the entire property is very well maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly, warm, and always willing to help. The activities organized by the resort are thoughtfully curated and add a lot to the overall experience. The Spice Walk is an absolute must-do. Alka, the nature specialist, was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and passionate about nature. She took us through the various spice trees, plants, and natural wonders around the property, explaining everything in an engaging and informative way. Her enthusiasm made the experience truly memorable. Overall, an awesome experience from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature! 🌿✨

We just relaxed in the hotel and it was a great relaxing time being in nature. The room was nice with tea makingFacilities but there was a tea stall every day at tea time in the garden and evening Kathakali dance so we were comfortable to chill a lot at the hotel. Staff were attentive in the restaurant and always wanting to help us.

This place is proper tranquil. It’s a short walk to the Periyar Tiger Reserve, where you can go trekking and (fingers crossed) spot some wildlife instead of just your inbox.||First impression? Warmth. Like, the staff-greet-you-like-an-old-friend kind. The room was impeccable—and because it’s an eco/sustainable property, there’s no plastic in sight. Yes, really.||Now, the plot twist: there’s no TV or AC. And yet… I didn’t melt. The fan was surprisingly sufficient. Think of it as nature’s streaming service—come here to connect with the outdoors; binge your shows back at home.||The food? Absolutely fantastic. Their concept is farm to table. Their idli was the best idli I've ever had, I could write love letters to that Idli! So good!||And the staff—everyone, I mean everyone—was super helpful and genuinely friendly. No request felt too hard or too tricky; they just made it happen. Special shout-out to Christina: absolute gem, 10/10, would recommend to all my future self’s holiday plans.||If you want calm, green, and human hospitality that actually feels human, this is it.

Had a wonderful stay at Spice Village, Thekkady. One important thing to know before booking is that the property is non-AC, but honestly, you really don’t need AC there as the climate is naturally cool and pleasant throughout the stay. The property is beautifully designed with very well-built cottages and gives a true eco-tourism experience surrounded by nature. One of the best parts was the number of activities available for kids to learn about nature and wildlife. Their Tiger Club conducts many engaging and informative activities which are truly worth experiencing. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety of options available every day. They also organize cultural performances every evening, which adds a fantastic local touch to the overall experience. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and always ensured we were comfortable throughout our stay. I had read a few reviews mentioning that the staff gives more attention to foreign guests, but I would honestly say that was not our experience at all. We were taken care of exceptionally well, and the hospitality was outstanding. Kudos to the entire team for maintaining such warm service standards. Also, must try their Woods Bar and 50 Mile Restaurant during the stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic nature getaway in Thekkady.
