Merryweather Resort Thekkady

The resort is placed in a hill where you can get some majestic views, room was absolutely great. I saw some critical review and was worried about the room and food but when I actually arrived, it was completely different. It was nice and beautiful. Although there are much scope to develop as the playing are, the gym but if you're away from home to enjoy and relax then this resort will give you absolute pleasure. Nice staff and food was good.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The highlight of our stay was the beautifully arranged candlelight dinner, which made our experience truly special. The staff was very courteous, friendly, and always ready to help. Their excellent hospitality and positive behaviour made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Thank you for making our visit memorable. We would be happy to visit again and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Our stay at Merry Weather Resort in Thekkady was truly awesome. The luxurious glass-walled rooms facing the swimming pool are stunning, and the night view is absolutely breathtaking. The location is blissful, and the overall service and room quality were excellent. We did encounter a small issue with the water heater, but aside from that, the experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend it!

We booked the room for 2 nights one day before our travel, but it was really worth it. Away from the town, the resort gave a very calm environment to unwind. The pool was neat and clean and my kid enjoyed at the play area as well. Breakfast options can be better with more live counters, but not to mention that the food was very tasty. Definitely recommend and will plan to visit again. Rooms, bathroom, sheets and towels were clean as well.

I stayed at Merry Weather Resort, Thekkady for just one night (29th–30th Jan), but I genuinely wished I could have extended my stay.||||Rooms:||The rooms are medium-sized, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. One of the standout features for me was the sofa by the window, which allowed us to enjoy the scenic view while sipping tea or coffee. The beds were comfortable. However, in one of the two rooms we booked, we encountered a few small cockroaches on the bed. Upon calling the reception, the staff responded promptly, eliminating the cockroaches and changing the bedsheets immediately. Their quick action and professionalism were much appreciated.||||Bathroom:||The bathrooms were clean, stocked with toiletries, and had hot water availability. However, in one of the bathrooms, the hot water was not working initially due to the gas geyser running out of fuel. Once we informed the staff, they refilled the gas, and the geyser started working within 10 minutes, which was impressive.||||Restaurant:||The restaurant was the highlight of my stay. We had dinner at their buffet, which was priced at ₹550 per person for Non-Veg and ₹450 for Veg, and it was absolutely worth it! I particularly loved the Chilli Chicken and Chicken Changezi, while the Veg Pulao and Lemon Rice were also delicious. The variety and taste of the food made for a memorable dining experience.||||Location:||The resort is situated atop a hill, offering stunning views. The peaceful and quiet surroundings make it an ideal getaway for those looking to relax away from the city's hustle and bustle. During our visit, the only road leading to the hotel was under repair, so we couldn't drive up directly. Instead, we went for the Periyar boating experience before returning to the hotel. Keep in mind that road conditions might vary based on maintenance work.||||Staff & Service:||The staff were polite, friendly, and highly professional. They ensured that service was prompt and efficient.||||Swimming Pool:||The pool was well-maintained and clean. Just a note: carry nylon swimwear if you plan to take a dip, as it's mandatory.||||Tips:||If you're traveling with senior citizens, I recommend booking a room close to the restaurant to minimize walking distances.||||Final Verdict:||Despite the minor hiccups, the quick resolutions, great food, peaceful ambiance, and beautiful location made my stay at Merry Weather Resort an enjoyable one.
