Hotel Treetop

We spent two nights at Treetop Resort. Of the 8 places we have stayed so far, all on a similar price level, this is equal first.||||It is very clean throughout the resort. The gardens are beautiful and the pool excellent. The staff are friendly and efficient.||||We stayed in a villa. It is spatious, comfortable, and has everything except a fridge. We enjoyed the verandah. We were warned not to leave anything out there due to monkeys and squirrels. The bathroom is getting close to needing an upgrade but is large and serviceable with hot water. Hair-dryer on request. Room service is available too.||||The location is in quiet part of town but close enough to shops, and we enjoyed an excellent cheap meal at the Jungle Cafe about 80m away (go down the road, turn left). Not far to all attractions.||||Overall, highly recommended. ||||Note: Not easily accessable for anyone in a wheelchair. Paths and steps are good.||

We had a wonderful experience at Tree Top Thekkady. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and nature. The atmosphere was peaceful and refreshing, surrounded by lush greenery, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. The service provided by the staff was exceptional. Everyone was courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. I recently stayed here and had a very pleasant experience overall. One of the biggest advantages of this property is its excellent location. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of Periyar National Park as well as the local market, making it very easy to explore the area without needing transportation. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, providing a relaxing stay after a day of sightseeing. Housekeeping did a good job of keeping everything tidy and organized. The staff were friendly, courteous, and always ready to help with any requests or queries. I would especially like to mention Ashwini, who was very helpful and ensured our stay was smooth and comfortable. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting Thekkady, especially if you prefer staying in a central location with easy access to key attractions.

Treetop, Thekkady — Great Location, Green Surroundings & Warm Service Room, Property & Common Areas We made a quick last-minute booking directly over the phone and got one of their cottage rooms at a very reasonable price. It turned out to be a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The cottage was spacious, well-furnished, and had a lovely verandah overlooking the greenery. The interiors felt modern yet cozy, and the overall property is beautifully landscaped with curated trees, open spaces, and dramatic views that make it wonderful to simply walk around and relax. The clubhouse with indoor games like table tennis and foosball was also a nice addition for families and kids, though it could use a bit of maintenance. Food We were welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink, and throughout the stay room service for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks was prompt and convenient. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious with a good spread. Location The location is a big advantage — walkable to the arts center for the Kalaripayattu performance, local cafés and shops, and the KTDC boat landing area, while still feeling peaceful and surrounded by greenery. Service The staff were consistently warm and helpful throughout. A special mention because my son forgot his wallet there, and the staff safely kept and returned it completely intact — something we truly appreciated. Special thanks to Ashwini and Sonu for their kindness and hospitality, which made the stay even more pleasant. Overall, Treetop is a lovely option in Thekkady for anyone looking for greenery, a peaceful atmosphere, good food, and genuinely caring service in a very convenient location.

Went here for a family vacation and had a peaceful experience overall. The property is calm and surrounded by plenty of trees, giving a nice nature feel. We stayed in an old-style stone cottage with a small veranda and bedroom setup. The bathroom was good, but we faced recurring hot water issues. Even though the staff fixed it every time we called, the problem kept occurring again. Food was decent, service was good, and the staff were friendly and well behaved. The property also has indoor game facilities, a kids’ play area, a swimming pool, and a spacious parking area, making it suitable for families. One of the highlights was spotting wildlife around the cottages, including giant squirrels, black monkeys, and regular monkeys in the trees.
