NillBooked this place after falling for the AI-generated photos online. The "private beach" turned out to be a tiny opening in the sea wall apparently that's what qualifies as beach front these days. From the moment we arrived, we were treated less like paying guests and more like international hostages awaiting interrogation. Our room, priced at around ₹3,500 a night, had all the charm and comfort of an old men's hostel. Calling it a "resort room" requires a very active imagination. A few members of the staff (who seemed to believe hospitality peaked somewhere around 1985) carried themselves as if they were doing guests a personal favour by allowing them to stay. Customer service? Missing. Courtesy? On leave. Arrogance? Available in unlimited supply. So, if your dream holiday involves paying resort prices for four walls, a bed, and an unforgettable lesson in how not to treat guests, this is easily one of the finest "resorts" Varkala has to offer.

NillAbsolutely the worst resort experience I have ever had in my life. Staying at Palm Tree Heritage Resort was a complete waste of money, time, and peace of mind. I paid ₹12,000 for a so-called “premium” family stay, but there was absolutely nothing premium about this property except the price tag. The front office staff behaved with zero professionalism, courtesy, or hospitality. They sat there like uninterested office employees, showing no concern for guests whatsoever. The management seriously needs to train their staff on how to treat paying customers. The rooms lacked even the most basic amenities. No kettle, no room phone to contact housekeeping or room service, no TV, no tea or coffee-making facilities, and not even basic toiletries were provided. We had to repeatedly ask and check for essentials ourselves. Is this what they call a “premium property”? The food was below average and definitely not worth the money. Looking at the overall experience, I genuinely question the authenticity of the positive reviews because they feel highly misleading. I paid extra for an additional bed and what I got was a mattress thrown in with a bedsheet — no proper bed setup and not even the blanket I paid for. Completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. The only good thing about this place is the location and beach access. My sincere advice: just visit the beach and leave. Do not make the mistake of staying here. To make matters even worse, we couldn’t sleep the entire night because cats were fighting and crying around the property. A stay meant for relaxation turned into a complete nightmare. How this property is being promoted as a premium brand is beyond my understanding. There is absolutely nothing premium about this place except the amount they charge guests. My rating: 1/10. Horrible experience. I would never return and would strongly advise others not to trust the hype around this property.

Nill⭐⭐☆☆☆ I had previously stayed at Palm Tree Heritage in January 2024 in Rooms 201 & 202. During my recent visit to Varkala, I unknowingly booked through another business called East West Beach Resort, only to discover on arrival that it was the same building and the same rooms. The surprising part was the huge difference in pricing. I paid ₹10,500 for two rooms through the direct booking, whereas the same property was available online for much less: • Yatra - ₹3,304 for 2 guests. • EaseMyTrip - ₹4,227 for 2 guests. This price difference was extremely disappointing. Another major issue was hygiene. During breakfast, there were approximately 10 -15 street dogs roaming freely inside and around the kitchen and dining area. This is not something guests expect, especially at a property charging premium rates. The location is good, but the management seriously needs to improve hygiene, maintain transparent pricing, and ensure guests are clearly informed about the property's branding and room rates. I strongly recommend travellers compare online prices before making any direct booking.

NillThis resort was close to beach. I booked twin room villa. We enjoyed the view of sunset ( no sunrise as it is in Arabian sea) with our favourite nadan tea. Lunch and dinner available in babu farm restaurant. It's costing high. Swimming pool was normal in size & well maintained. Overall for one night we enjoyed our stay.

NillWe had a wonderful experience at Palm Tree Heritage, Varkala. The stay was very comfortable, and the location is perfect — right in front of the beach with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly and cooperative throughout our stay. What touched us the most was their care and support during an emergency. Around 2 AM, my daughter needed medicine urgently, and two staff members personally went out in the middle of the night to get it for us. We were truly moved by their kindness and willingness to help. Such genuine hospitality is rare to find. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Highly recommended!
