Prasanthi Cliff Beach Resort

Outstanding stay at Varkala! Do not look beyond this at all. Basic stay with basic rooms. But what outshines is their location and view from the balcony. And top rated service from the owner and the staff. They are very friendly and helpful at all times. Stay comes with basic amenities, where you get just a room with washroom, Air conditioner and a balcony. Rooms are very clean. If you are looking just this, then this is an absolute killer resort!

The view from the room is exceptional. The staff was very hospitable.. they were very helpful and nice.. they gave us extra time even after the checkout time.. we had our bags kept there for almost an entire day after the checkout and even let us use the washroom while picking our bags. They booked us the vehicle so that we conveniently reach the bus stop.

the hotel is good, clean and the garden is really nice. is quiet and employers are willing to help you all the time though sometimes they don't really take initiative. if the power is lost they always forget to restart the internet modem. don't trust the laundry service. takes days. the owner is a really nice friendly polite and always willing to help. rooms are safe as the receptionist stays awake at the gate even during the night to watch masala movies. had really confortable time spending like 2 weeks there.

Prashanth cliff is located on the Varkala cliff with excellent ocean views from the balconies of the rooms. The air conditioning was good, the hot water was good, the service was good and there are plenty of restaurants along the cliff within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with our choice. Highly recommended. Costs far less than 4 or 5 star places. You get what really matters. Minor drawbacks for foreign tourists are payment by bank transfer or cash (no credit card processing), somewhat rundown plumbing and carpets in the foyer. Most establishments on the cliff are accessed via narrow lanes where 2 way car traffic is a challenge .. but local drivers are skilled at this. There are stray dogs along the walkway on the cliff but ALL the ones we encountered were calm and leaving people alone. No threat of contact at all. There were Europeans everywhere .. they seem to like the place and stay long term. The manager at Prashanth told us about Italian ladies on the premises who have been regular visitors (since 2018). Overall excellent location and good value for money.

Had a great stay at this hotel! 🌊 • Beautiful view, especially the beach-facing side • Management was very helpful and provided good service • Rooms are decent for the price (budget-friendly) • They were kind enough to give us early check-in Overall, one of the best budget-friendly beach view resorts. Worth it for the experience!
