Aruvi Cottages

Booked this place for my parents and they absolutely loved it! I noticed some reviews mentioning that the road is dangerous, but honestly, the host makes sure to inform you beforehand and even shares a video guide on how to drive up to the cottage. Since the cottage is located at a viewpoint, the road is naturally a bit rough, but that’s expected. My parents also wanted to give a special shoutout to Mr. Naveen, Ms. Janaki, and Mr. Kalairarasan for their warm hospitality. The food was tasty, and the overall experience was wonderful!

We had worst experience today, the room was below average and the most disappointing thing was no toiletries give, not even towel. We reached at around 1 o' clock today, we left around 5:30, we haven't felt comfortable with that room..however the location is too good. But for 2,400 rupees not at all worth place to stay.

I booked this hotel for my family but did not stay for a min. This hotel road is very dengerous and life threatening. They said they will refund 50% but they did not. Never book this hotel if you are with family. Room and view is great but what is the use of it if the road is dengerous to drive. Dishonest host. I am very disappointed. Even I laughed case on co sumer courts.

Worst Experience – Avoid This Hotel! I booked through Goibibo, but the room given was filthy and nothing like the photos. The manager was rude and tried to force us to stay in that dirty room. My family suffered in an unknown city, and we had to leave without staying. Total scam – Goibibo should delist this place!

Not only is this one of the most scenic places to stay in Coonoor. You are looked after by the most kind-hearted, lovely woman. She is an incredible cook and very friendly. The rooms are clean and beautiful, warm beds and warm showers. It is a peaceful and serene escape from town.

My stay at the charming cottage was nothing short of delightful. Tucked away in the middle of the mountains, it offered the ideal diversion from the rush of the cities. Cozy and immaculate, the cottage has everything you needed for a nice stay. Its appeal was enhanced by the rustic yet contemporary decor, which produced a cozy and welcoming ambiance. The home made food was really delicious. The cottage provided breathtaking views of the countryside and was situated in a lovely area. I was able to relax and take in the splendour of nature in this calm and beautiful haven. The hosts made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and were very kind and attentive. I felt completely at home thanks to the friendliness, and also yummy foods which gave the encounter a more intimate touch.

The location is so lovely..can't wish for more..but the road is too dangerous and hence, the driver must be very experienced. Room is okay but on the day we arrived, there was no power and hence no water for a day and night. It was hectic to fulfill our basic needs too. I called the owner atleast 25 times but he didn't pick the call and the service boys were helpless. And the food they cook is too costly as they charged 600 rupees for 6 omelettes. Those were the costliest omelettes I had in my entire life. So basically if you are looking for a beautiful mountain view stay, go there..but remember the points I mentioned.

The only con about the place is the way to reach this place. We can order homemade foods there, which is quite good. Tea and coffee options are also good. You can have outdoor dining, where you can have some scenic pictures to put up on social media. Rooms are well maintained and clean. If your car's tire can take some hit for you on the way to this hotel, then you can definitely consider this place.
