A fantastic place to stay in Ooty. Not in the city center which is a great advantage for some peace and quiet throughout the day and night. Wonderful and helpful staff. Dinner was pretty great, albeit a little pricey. The complimentary buffet breakfast is top notch. Fresh, constantly topped up, a wide variety to choose and eat from. The taste was very good. The location of this retreat on a hill side high up presents with stunning views of Ooty, the far away hills, rolling clouds and wide open sky. Easily accessible. Overall a highly recommended spot for tourists and visitors to Ooty.

I visited in November, which I believe is the best time to go. The room was very clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable stay. However, the washroom was a bit small, and I faced some inconvenience while managing with a toddler. It lacked basic essentials like a tap, bucket, and mug, with only an overhead shower available. If you're traveling with kids, it’s something to keep in mind. That said, the view from the hotel was spectacular, especially at night when you can enjoy the city lights. Parking was a bit of a challenge, as we had to leave our vehicle on the road outside the hotel due to limited space. On a positive note, the hospitality and service were outstanding. The buffet breakfast had an impressive variety of options, and the chicken sausages were particularly delicious. Overall, it was a pleasant stay despite a few minor inconveniences.

Hotel location is too good. At the top of Ooty. Hotel service and staff is too good. But they should maintain amenities. Some of the amenities are broken. Playing area equipments for child's are broken. In breakfast there is limited items. Road upto hotel is like off Roading. It also to be maintained.

Sinclairs Retreat in Ooty is truly an amazing resort and undoubtedly one of the best in the area. Located at the peak, it offers breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance that’s perfect for a relaxing getaway. The facilities and services provided are commendable, and the overall vibe of the resort is warm and welcoming. However, the resort does show signs of its age. Some areas, both inside and outside the rooms, had a slight unpleasant smell, which could be a result of maintenance issues. It didn’t significantly impact our stay, but it’s something the management could address to enhance the guest experience further. Overall, Sinclairs Retreat is a fantastic place to stay in Ooty, and with a bit more attention to upkeep, it could easily be perfect.

Pros: Location is good in terms of view and quietness. It's situated very top in ooty. Rooms are clean and well maintained, room service was also good. Taste and quality of complimentary breakfast was good. Cons: Way too expensive. Amenities not nearly equal to a 4-star hotel standard, as they claim. Staff behaviour is very very casual, one receptionist was even rude to us. In all rooms bathroom is tiny and no room is having a bathroom that has a tap. Only overhead shower, you can not wash your feet, you can only take shower. Compared to the standard of the hotel, the lunch and dinner menu is extremely expensive.

This hotel is not at all courteous towards the guests..we booked it this week, however, my 1.5year baby got down with high grade fever and we requested them to reschedule the dates to next month.. They declined the request (as if the hotel is booked for entire month) saying that booking cannot be cancelled now as per their policy... We lost our money in such hotel..I realized that without visiting the hotel, these people are so inconsiderate towards the visitors, upon visiting it, how poorly we would have been treated!! All the best for fooling your visitors...you cannot reach high looting ppl!!!

Food was great and service provided by the staff (Rakesh, Amit & khan) was overwhelming and made the trip well spent and valve for money. ..||Would highly recommend this hotel for upcoming tourist...||Best way to find inner peace and close to nature. ...

Property is at a great location however the service can be improved multifolds. Their in room dining menu is very limited and too costly, they kept non functioning articles (like dustbin, kettle), they didn't place, iron board, iron, hair dryer. Their moisturizer dispenser was non operational and they couldn't replace it also. And this was the condition of a Deluxe Suite, which is their 2nd best product. They don't have make to order products in breakfast, though the spread during breakfast was good if not great. The TV in the room was age old with most regional channels only available. The only thing which was a positive was the view (check photos).
