The Lion Inn

We stayed in here in the month of January, the service and hospitality was great. The manager was so helpful right from the foods for kids to any basic needs. Pool was neatly maintained. The room was so clean and neat. Overall was a very comfortable and a happy stay. Would always recommend my friends and family.

I recently booked a room at The Lion Inn, and my experience was far from satisfactory. The disappointment began when I encountered significant issues during the booking process. The staff's demeanor over the phone was shockingly rude, and their communication was lethargic at best. Instead of receiving assistance and understanding, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional behavior. This encounter not only tarnished my perception of The Lion Inn but also left me questioning the level of customer service provided. Unfortunately, we couldn't make it and had to cancel the trip. We could only imagine if the experience over the phone itself was this bad, what the on-site experience would have been like. I sincerely hope that The Lion Inn addresses these issues promptly to ensure a more positive and respectful experience for future guests. Until then, I cannot recommend this establishment based on my unfortunate encounter and experience.

Hospitality was not good. Promised to give swimming pool, when we were enjoying Owner's son came with rude behaviour and said you guys don't have access as he wanted celebrate his friend's birthday. Highly disappointed with the behaviour with the guests. Even though we paid for pool they threw us out of the pool. Food is also not available in the Resort.

Overall experience was too bad , the care taker , the hotel owner and management was too rude and money minded. They actually sold our rooms to other customer when we couldn't make there on time , and he denied refund. Please dont consider this hotel when you want a peaceful stay 🙏

We initially reserved two hotel rooms for January 26th and 27th but faced a setback due to a car accident, preventing our travel. Despite contacting the owner (Kavin) and MakeMyTrip for a refund or partial cancellation, the owner declined due to the proximity to check-in time. Later, when we heard that few other colleagues are planning to visit pondicherry, we suggested them to use our rooms, so that our money doesnt go wasted. Kavin rudely insisted that the person who made the booking must show up with an ID for room availability confirmation. After 20mins of argument, he stated he gave the rooms to someone else without notifying us, displaying explicit bullying behavior. Later we requested for room from MakeMyTrip customer care, after 45mins of discussion between the owner and MakeMyTrip, they decided to refund back due to the owner's rude behaviour (without his consent). Then he kept calling me from different numbers for more than 25times and completely spoiled our day. Please avoid this hotel, if you want a peaceful stay. A Big thanks to MakeMyTrip customer service for resolving this issue. Editing in response to owner's feedback : I stand by my experience. Multiple calls from different numbers for confirmation seemed unusual. When informed that rooms were allocated to other guests, both I and the MakeMyTrip representative were taken aback. Your rude behaviour have influenced the makemytrip's decision to issue a refund, despite policy constraints. My review reflects this genuine experience and it's not fake.

Worst experience. Wrong commitments. They will say that you can use pool anytime. But just Owner's son want to enjoy with his friends and they will through you out of the pool.

Nice place to stay with friends & Family. Good service and nice hotel manager , will provide good service. Nice resort with attached swimming pool. Best resort for partying and enjoyment.

Very worst experience i ever had in any of the guest rooms.. i couldn't even say that I had atleast one good experience with this hotel. Since we went there during a peak season, we faced difficulties in finding room and it was almost late night hence we had only final option to stay here, we had to book a non AC room since it was only thing available where there is no proper fan and ventilation. We experienced like staying in a hot 🔥 room. Coming to the rest rooms no proper bucket or mug..pipes and taps were leaking , no door mats, no towels or tissues, no drinking water, and most importantly no proper security. No security only Receptionist was there he also went out that late night and came with his friends and started drinking in the store room, we couldn't even reach him that night for any kind of help. We struggled and almost spent sleepless night with all family members after all travelling from long way. The next day morning receptionist said that he will allocate us some other room where fan is in gud condition but unfortunately he escaped and another housekeeping lady was in charge, we requested her saying all the difficulties and requested to change the room she checked with the owner but he denied to help. Swimming pools are not at all clean.. it's just to showcase that they have some special features but you cannot use it. Most importantly, no wifi. Usually, the area has a very poor network, WiFi can help us in stay connected online. Overall very poor service and bad experience, waste of money. I definitely would not recommend to stay here as you cannot find the place safer and comfortable.
