I have made amazing memories staying here with my family. It has amazing Mountain View restaurant and cottages which are made with love and awesome touch of interior designing. We really loved the location and we experienced snow storm as well and certify this place for everyone who wants to get lost in the serene beauty of this place has to offer. We were helped by the staff to get off the slopes in times of snow storm and which really made us feel secured. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone whether it be family, friends or couples.

Tucked away in one of the most beautiful locations in the north of India (Uttarakhand), this is one of those hidden gems which will keep you coming back for more.|Here are some of the points that make Faraway cottages a must visit : |1) The View:|If you are a person that appreciates true natural beauty like myself, you will get to feast your eyes on majestic unobstructed 360 degree views of the himalayas all around you. And no amount of this will ever be enough. It leaves a last impression on you and the sense of amazement stays with you every time you look around. There are also sprawling views of fields and farms below.|2) The Food:|We went in with no expectation about the food at a cottage, as we tend to mostly explore the restaurants in the area to experience local culture. Not here. The unassuming cozy restaurant offers some seriously good dishes which will have you licking your fingers after every meal. It has to be something to do with the water in the area, but EVERY SINGLE MEAL was DELICIOUS. So much so that I met with the chef and made sure he felt my appreciation.|3) The People:|The hospitality of the Pahadi(mountain people) is well known, and is exemplified at this this location. Such kind, welcoming and warm people - this I felt was truly the best part of visiting Uttarakhand in general but in particular this cottage. I wanted to specifically mention Naval Kishore, the manager - always made sure we felt at home and tended to our every need |Our server, who treated us like royalty every time we came for a meal. You are truly made to feel special.||All this said, the only drawback of this property is the approach and the roads. The roads in the region are generally sub par as you'd expect from such a location and I would definitely recommend hiring a local cab who is familiar with the terrain. Our driver had little to no problem driving a Swift Dzire through these roads, but it is not the most comfortable ride.||This is the only reservation I would have for otherwise a splendid experience which I will cherish for my lifetime.

Awesome view of huge Himalayan mountains from balcony and room. Nice spacious rooms with smart TV for kids entertainment, Very well maintained property and kids friendly facilities. Excellent staff and super clean rooms. Best quality food and that too at such a remote location is a highlight! Kudos to Mr. Naval who manages the property with such enthusiasm under extreme weather conditions of snow and cold!

**A Heavenly Stay in Auli!** I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful resort in Auli, and it was truly a memorable experience. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and offered breathtaking views of the mountains right from our window. It was the perfect escape for a short vacation, and honestly, I didn’t want to leave! The services were exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. A special shoutout to Mr. Naval, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and available 24/7. His sincerity and attention to detail made our experience even more special. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning views, top-notch service, and a relaxing atmosphere, I highly recommend this resort. I definitely plan to visit again – it felt like heaven!

Faraway Cottages is undoubtedly the best place I have stayed till date. This place in real is better than the photos you see. The rooms are amazing and offer breathtaking views, food is mind blowing and the service and staff are outstanding and super helpful. We stayed 3 nights in the property and it seemed less. Wish we could extend our stay. The food is super awesome and every meal we had was amazing. Would rate 10 out of 5 in all aspects. Thanks for the amazing experience !

I visited this beautiful property with family while returning from Badrinath. I stayed there for one night only and am still repenting for booking it just for one night only. Road to property is little narrow, but once you reach there, the views will vanish all your tiredness. The check-in was smooth. Manager Mr. Naval kishor escorted to the room. The room was really big and equipped with elegant decor and furnishings. Balcony was really big, and the views from it were truly breathtaking. Food during breakfast and dinner were deliciously outstanding. Chef Sandeep knows what customers want. Staff was very cooperative and quick. I must appreciate the efforts of the manager, MR. NAVAL KISHOR Nautiyal to make our stay memorable, he is Gem of a person. Looking forward to visit this property again.

We were looking for a nice place to stay in Auli for one night and we found Faraway Cottages. After arriving at the property we liked it so much we ended up extending our stay to 3 nights! The rooms are very clean and neat and the decor is comforting as well. The bathrooms are also well equipped and the hot water showers are great in the chill weather. The view from all areas of the property is mesmerizing and watching the sunrise and sunset with the melodies of the birds chirping is a whole vibe in itself. The garden and the common areas are also well maintained and are great to hangout and enjoy the views from. The service we received here was top notch and the food was delicious everyday we didn't even need to go out for a meal. The manger Krishna was very hospitable and even arranged a trekking guide for us to do the nearby Auli hike. The support staff was also very helpful and provided us with everything we requested. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend the property for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the hills.
