The Hridayesh Spa Wilderness Resort

I would give this resort zero stars if I could. We had a terrible experience during our stay. We were there to attend a friend's wedding, and one of our friend's valuables, including money and fine jewelry, were stolen. When we confronted the hotel staff about it, they were very casual, as if this happens every day at their place. We asked the front desk associates to call the managers, and they delayed it for two hours. When the managers finally arrived, they were of no help. They were not at all interested in resolving the issue or investigating, and instead kept insisting that the items must have been misplaced and that it was our fault. The hotel keys are mostly with the housekeeping staff, and we believe one of them was responsible. The audacity of the hotel staff to not take any responsibility for this, and the managers' complete lack of respect for their guests, was shocking. They searched our room but never questioned their staff, not even once. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone because I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this kind of experience.

We had a horrible experience. One of my friend’s money and jewellery got stolen by their staff and the resort management had a pathetic response where they were only concerned about protecting their staff rather than helping us. They even had the audacity to laugh at our face when we went to them with our problem. The jewellery that got stolen was given to my friend by her late mom and was the last piece of memory she had of her. So one can imagine the sentimental value of it but the hotel staff were totally casual about this whole situation. Seems like this is a regular occurrence at their resort. We even pinpointed the staff which we suspected were involved but the management didn’t interrogate them at all. Anil and Arjun, the two managers aren’t capable of running a tea stall, let alone a resort. Also, “coincidentally”, the room where the robbery happened, that whole area wasn’t under CCTV coverage. They claim to be a five start hotel but have blind spots on their CCTV coverage. What a joke!! If you’re planning to host your wedding there, please don’t as they are seasoned robbers who won’t miss a chance to steal valuable stuff.

Great property right on the river. Staff was kind and helpful. Food was excellent. While we were visiting there was no alcohol so I’d recommend bringing your own to be safe. We saw deer, two different kinds of monkeys and lots of birds. Kids swam in the pool everyday we were there. I would recommend the restaurant staff right down the orders as they made a few mistakes.

The property is very large. Pool is also nice . I booked luxury room with breakfast lunch and dinner for rupees 14500 for one night. I feel it was not worth the price. Everything is good but too expensive. You can enjoy same luxury with lesser amount in other hotels like lemon tree.

Had a really horrible experience. One of my friends money and jewellery was stolen from her room, and the staff's response to this was pathetic. We went there for a wedding and she had the room keys with her at all times. Her room was accessed by one of the employees in her absence. She had ordered something from the restaurant before this where two of the staff, Ravi and Kailash, came inside the room and saw where she had kept her wallet while making the payment. Next day when she was checking out, she realised that her wallet was open and all the cash, along with a gold chain which was the last gift from her mom before she passed away was gone. When we reported this to the resort, they had the most casual response to it. The staff at the reception even had the audacity to laugh at us when we were looking for some resolution to this situation. When we asked to check the CCTV cameras and get some information about the restaurant staff, we were made to wait for 3 hours. Finally when the 2 managers, Anil and Arjun arrived, they had a similar pathetic and casual response to the situation. They stated that this happened for the first time but they had zero urgency to get it resolved. They were very defensive, did not take any action on the staff and did not take any responsibility. When the two guys who delivered stuff from the restaurant came to the office, they were sent back without any interrogation. They were keen to check our luggage and flip over the entire room to imply that it was our mistake, but they were not ready to search their staff's belongings. Coincidentally, the room was also at a blind spot of the CCTV cameras, so the CCTV footage was totally useless. Being a resort that host weddings on a regular basis, where people bring a lot of jewellery, isn't it shocking that they had blind spots in their cctv coverage of the campus. All in all, it was a shocking experience and one of the worst responses from the resort management and staff.

So here’s the worst experience of my lifetime. I visited the resort for my friend’s wedding. 1. First of all the check in that was supposed to be to be at 11am was eventually done at 3pm. 2. While transferring our luggage from reception area to our rooms, their staff very conveniently stole a can of beer. 3. So now the most horrific thing that can happen to anyone. While we were in the wedding ceremony, gold worth almost 60k (gold chain worth 45k which was the last gift from my mother before she passed away and there’s no value of the sentiments it held and diamond stud worth 15k) and 6.5k cash was stolen from my wallet which was in my room. While I had the key with me all the time there was no other way to access the room other than the master key. On the other hand the managers were so casual about the theft that they didn’t even interrogate the house keeping staff that came into our room. We spend almost 5 hours to find a solution and all these people could do was mock at us. Instead of checking their staff, they entirely checked our room just in case we took our own jewellery (that’s so stupid). No CCTV was available near my room, which eventually their staff knew very well that the room lies in blind spot. Even after telling than that we’d file a police complaint, the manger was so rude telling us that aapko jo karna hai aap karo. Such valuable things getting stolen so easily and they escaped so conveniently is such a disgrace to the property itself. The managers kept on telling us that the supervisor always accompanies anyone using the master key. To which after an hour, we casually asked their bell boy to get the master key just to check how the master key is handled. The master key arrived with one of the front office staff with no supervision. To which we told the managers and further their lies continued by trying to convince us that he’s the front office supervisor. We asked for his id of supervisor and again the same web of lies that it was urgent so we send it and all. So eventually what we got to know that not just the house keeping but the entire staff has access to the master key which is so insecure. Anybody can access your room anytime. I highly recommend people to not visit here and most importantly not host wedding and such events here where all guests carry valuable things. Since any of the staff can easily access your room and steal your valuables. And on top of it none of the managers will even acknowledge to what you’re saying. Also we kept on going to the room very frequently so there’s an entire group involved into this amongst which, some are keeping an eye at the guests when they are not around and the others are actually doing the theft. The view from our riverside room was serene. The hotel is situated adjacent to river Kosi. It’s great to relax by the river. Got to see sunrise by the river. Saw deers in the evening. There were minor issues with the hot tap water and wrong order at the restaurant. But the staff was extremely cordial. The kids had great time, so did we. The stay was great!

It was a wonderful experience. Great place for destination wedding. Picturesque scenery all around. Corbett National Park is also nearby. Kosi river flows at the back of the resort. Very serene environment.
