Grandeur and incredibly beautiful Tibetan Buddhist Monastery, is said to be a scale down version of Potala Palace in Lhasa. There are a lot of pavillions which house unique Tibetan style Buddha statues and religious items all over the temple. Note that photography is not allowed inside all the monasteries but donation is welcome. A must see attraction if you visit Shangri-la. If you want to dress up in Tibetan style costume for selfie, there are a lot of shops that you can rent the dress or hire the professional photographer at affordable price to take photos for you. Also be prepared to climb a lot of stairs as there are many levels in the mountain which many parts of the temple were built on.

It is new hotel! Only about 6 months old. Clean, everything looks new. Service is excellent. Good location. Walking distance to the bus station direct to Tibetan Llama Temple, Shangri-la Temple.

Its serene ...huge ..extremely old paintings inside ..I am not on religion though I loved the place..huge stair case some 175 steps to get in.

Didn't get in because the price was 115 Yuan. More than it cost to see the wall. You can get the view from other parts of town for free.
