Introduced by a friend, I heard that the service here is very good and the hotel is also very beautiful. After arriving, it was really great. The transportation here is also very convenient, and it is close to Baohua on Line 5. The hotel lobby is very domineering, which can be described as high-end. The rooms are also very big and bright. The customer service sister has a gentle voice and speaks very well. The room service is also very nice and fast! Anyway, everything is very thoughtful and I will come back often!

A hotel that I really like. As soon as I entered the lobby, I felt that the staff were very friendly. The female check-in staff at the front desk were very friendly and had a nice smile. Previously, there was a shuttle bus to the Ferris wheel, but this time it has been cancelled. Although it is a small regret, the surrounding environment is very good. It only takes a 15 minute walk to get there. The room is also quite large, and the bed is very comfortable, especially the big bed that I like. The customer service is also very fast! Anyway, everything is very satisfactory! I will continue to choose this hotel!

Stayed at Glory Tower, which is next to Ferris wheel, so not the Main building. ||First the positives:|- prime and convenient location next to boulevard, restaurants and entertainment. |- check in smooth, not many guests|- cleaning staff very helpful and efficient ||Negatives: |- Despite being a relatively newer build, this tower hardware is in a poor state, and design often doesn’t make sense|- the “lounge” isn’t a real lounge. It’s the only restaurant with very limited food offering during breakfast, afternoon tea and although slightly better during happy hour. |- lounge staff is not well trained nor proactive, feels like they are just standing there and receive orders singly. This is definitely not Marriott standards. ||Overall, the glory tower may seem a better deal by just looking at the pricing but it is very obvious that it doesn’t meet the usual JW level. Good for one time, but don’t recommend for an encore.

We return to this luxurious hotel (Glorious Wing) after our first visit the same month, last year. After two months of unusally long "Plum Rain", many other hotels in Southern China got mouldy and smelly. This hotel is better maintained than most as their ventilation is stronger. We were happy that our room was upgraded as a Platinum member. Yes, a few rooms still have the problem of smell but the hotel staff was very friendly and they eagerly helped us to locate one without smell. Gratitude to Nelson, Kirin and Winston and Purple for helping us out. The process is not easy.||The price came down substantially compared to one year ago due to weakness in economy. However, the hotel still offered reasonably nice, albeit less personal, service in the Executive Lounge. So we found the price very competitive. Food in general was nice. However the weather got hot easily after the rain. So when you near the end of meal time, pay attention to the cold cuts and sliced fruits as they may have exposed to hot air (entering the Lounge from a door to an open deck) for long. Especially when the hotel and the dining room got crowded, the staff sometimes could not be as attentive to this as before.||We like the bathroom, very comfortable. There were slight seeping of water from the shower room towards the toilet (water was trapped in the split between the two). The hotel quickly sent us technicians to fix the problem. Our housekeeper, Ms.Zhou nicely coordinated with them and did a nice clean up of our room. Thanks to her efforts so much. Our room was clean and tidy.||Finally, we wish to re-emphasize the issue of pillows as we pointed out last year. The pillow fillings of duck down were still producing smell/odor which affected our sleep, even after one year of use. We tried the pillow made of psedo-cotton but the core of which still possessed another type of bad smell. The main cause might be the extremely hot and wet weather. May be you can consider sterilizing the fillings/core with ultra-violet light after washing the pillowcase.

Very smooth and efficient check in experience. My room 1108 was well maintained and clean. This time only enjoyed the indoor swimming pool. Sufficient lifeguards and the attendant inside changing room is very polite. ||The location is perfect for my family stay for instance rest before and after attend the Opera.||Thanks team!||I will highly recommend my friends try to stay. I had an excellent stay here. Club lounge was very great with a variety of food and drink at happy hour and afternoon tea. Free breakfast buffet for Marriott elite members were provided at the restaurant. There was a fantastic outdoor pool and an indoor. Room was luxurious and comfortable. Taxi by 25 minutes and 30 CNY to airport.

…actually, ‘memorable moments’ is a better description, having just spent the weekend at JW Marriott, this time in Bao’an… it was a birthday weekend celebration, specifically in Shenzhen, as the birthday gift was to see The Phantom of the Opera… & after having a nice experience in Sanya last month, it was perfect to have a Marriott property walking distance to the opera house..||Once our agent confirmed hotel reservations, thus began the communication between hotel & myself, pre-arrival issues…very fast, efficient and informative replies …even going as far to offer assistance with purchasing show tickets, had we not been able to do so from our side…||Hotel (buick) pick up from train station, approx 30min traveling… comfortable and quick check in (thank you, Summer, for taking the time..) …booked 2 rooms, king and twin, assigned at Main Tower (there are also rooms in the Glory Tower, which is the building closer to OH Bay; the ferris wheel, mall (shops, restaurants, kids’ play area) basically just across the road from the tower …fyi, although walkable, theres a hotel shuttle that can bring you to/from towers & OH Bay area|….anyway, back to our rooms: separate toilet & shower/bathtub rooms …rainshower, check! …as it is a luxury hotel brand, rooms’ design is classically elegant, as expected from a JWM …comfy beds, adequate lounging area, smart separate placement of luggage/closet spaces, fantastic sunrise view||As was a 3D2N stay, and the show was our main focus, we only used the main facilities ie buffet breakfast at The Shenzhen Kitchen, a very large dining area…efficient placement of foods & drinks, lots of floor staff to clear tables + chefs/cooks to serve at buffet counters, refill foods, etc… we especially appreciated the chef who went around tables offering freshly baked croissants (guests can actually see the baking process as the oven is near bread counters) … we tried Room Service twice; portions are properly sized, and food is still hot when delivered… our rooms included Executive Lounge privilege , so we had to try their afternoon tea & happy hour/canapés sessions on 28/F …very welcoming staff at reception & friendly/efficient lounge staff, assisting at food counters ∨ guests’ tables … theres an outdoor pool, but also an indoor one which stays open in the evening; but be sure to bring your own swimming cap, per indoor pool rules…||nice, bright & airy lobby, with staff at reception, concierge, on floor ∨ at entrance, always ready to offer assistance, answer questions, if not just smile with a greeting… it all felt old school to me, ie the service style & standard the staff were providing, like it was back in the good old days (well, my old days, my younger, earlier years in the industry)…it all felt very personalized and sincere, which is not as common as you’d think it should be in hotels nowadays, be it because of current generations or ‘different’ management approach… as such, especially in helping me to give our daughter memorable birthday celebration moments over the weekend, to our new ‘friends’, let me say: ‘all of you know how each of you/your team made me & my family feel welcomed and at home, so i thank you: ||Gavi, w/Andy, Edison & Elena @ Concierge|Helen, Franky, Thea/Davis @ Reception/Guest Service |Irene w/Jean, Sally, Yuki, Kiri, Miya @Executive Lounge|Lucky & Alan @Room Service/In-room Dining|Skye & Michelle @Lobby||…but theres 2 staff who i found outstanding, handling us personally if not liaising with related staff, w/pre-arrival issues, then with various matters during our short stay…’thank you, Eason @Concierge, |and most especially Nelson @teamGSM (w/Grace)…even though you were at Glory Tower, you continued to keep in touch, ensuring we had a comfortable stay… good job, gentlemen, and everyone above-mentioned, with sincere thanks!||‘Mr Young, you have a wonderful property in Bao’an, and amazing staff who do ‘take pride in the details’, thus providing very personalized customer service. Congratulations!..and on behalf of my daughter, thanks again for a memorable birthday weekend!’
