In a sea of lodging options, be the best hosts. Yep, that's Dave and Tammy! Check in was a breeze, the rooms were terrific, the house is full of great stories, antiques, photos of good times in Jefferson. The location is beyond simple, cross Line Street, and then you're on Austin, one of the main streets of Jefferson. But the best part? The differentiator? Dave. World class Wisconsin style breakfasts (IYKYK!), musician, traveler and tremendous host. Great guests make for a fun hour around the table before heading off in all directions to explore the Caddo Lake area. Definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the White Oak Manor, we were there for two nights. We stayed in the Varanda room which is on the first floor and there is a porch just outside your bedroom door. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small and a little tight and you need to bring your own bath soap and shampoo. The room could use another comfortable chair as there is only one but you can also use the parlor if not occupied. David was a good host and the breakfasts were good and we enjoyed talking to the other guests. We enjoyed setting on the porch in the early morning with a cup of coffee and watching the birds and squirrels in the large back yard. The coffee maker in our room was a keurig and coffee pods were provided. Breakfast was served at 9:00. Downtown is relatively close, about 1/2 mile and can be walked if you are in to that.

David and Tammy are amazing hosts, rooms are very clean and stocked and with smart tv to watch everything under the sun. Breakfast is AMAZING. Only thing my bf didn’t know was it’s not handicap accessible, was just very careful climbing up and down the stairs. We stayed in the Mardi Gras room and loved it. Will check with a room downstairs for the next visit.
