Nov 27, 1992 we were married in the middle of the street at the statue of The goddess Hebe. Goddess of youth. We stayed at the Captain's Castle for 2 nights. It was beautiful. Rooms were fabulous. And breakfast. Mmmm mmmm. Yummy. A friend had a horse n carraige biz ther. He picked us up. Announced us as he took us around the town. Sorry. Im ramblin. Lol. But it was such a wonderful experience. I love remembering it. We had been to Jefferson many times. A dear friend of ours was historian for Jefferson. He owned the turnin basin river boat ride where he told the history. I highly recommend staying at least one night at The Captain's Castle. Even more. Visit Jefferson, TX.

You won't find a more friendly, down to earth, and truly amazing pair of innkeepers. Both Bill and Angie have put their heart into their home, and we enjoy every visit (we stay there a lot). Comfy rooms, and the breakfasts are delicious! Fresh coffee is ready at 8 in the garden room. I like to grab a cup and spend some quiet time on one of the benches in the yard. Breakfast at 9, and wonderful conversation is always served alongside. We love our "home away from home!"

Some friends and I had a girls weekend at The Captain's Castle and Carriage House Inn. We stayed in the Cottage. It was very clean and rather large for just the 3 of us. There were 2 queen beds and 2 twin recliners that pulled out. Very nice bathroom with shower. The breakfast was DIVINE!!! The hosts were the sweetest of people who gave great insight into dining and shopping experiences in town. We had a BLAST!!! This particular B&B was one of the lowest price in town, but that had no bearing on the comfort level. We will stay here again!!

My husband and I stayed the night at this B & B for the Candle Light Tour! What an amazing B & B! Angie and Bill are the best hosts! We stayed in the Pecan room and fell in love with it! So cozy, peaceful and relaxing! The breakfast was beyond our expectations and the conversation with Angie and Bill made it more memorable. We will be back!

We reserved two rooms. One was ok, but very musty. Mine was incredibly dusty and smelled of cat urine. The quilt and throw pillow on the bed were stained. The pillow I had didn’t seem fresh, so I looked in the cabinet. Two were in there but both had heavy yellowed sweat stains. |We expected a few amenities like a hair dryer, but it was a very bare bones operation. Entrance to the rooms and the checkin spot were heavily mildewed. The leaves could have easily been blown off the walkway to our rooms. |The hosts were very friendly,But I would rather have had a room that looked and smelled clean. |Breakfast was eggs Benedict, but mine was cold by the time it got to me. |This could be a great place with more attention to detail.

My husband and I enjoyed our first ever experience at a B&B. Perfectly relaxing weekend made enjoyable by gracious hosts. Moments after arriving we already felt "at home." I slept over 9 hours the 2nd night in the room called Sarah. As one who rarely gets a full night of sleep I give all of the credit to the peaceful home that Angie and Bill so generously shared with us this weekend. The breakfasts were magnificent. Both Red and I highly recommend the Captain's Castle!

Bill and Angie are excellent B&B hosts! We took a mini vacation to Jefferson this past weekend and stayed at Captain's Castle. What a wonderful experience! The Cottage was the perfect size for us and our daughter with a lot of privacy. The breakfasts that Bill and Angie served were delicious and the conversations were pleasant with both of them. We will definitely go back, not just for Jefferson itself but for the exemplary service we received at Captain's Castle! Thank you Bill and Angie! Chris, Michele and Hope Guile
