Green Gables of Jefferson

Green Gables is on a quiet and shaded corner with a welcoming front porch. The cottage where I stayed was a peaceful and tranquil oasis. There was gentle music drifting through the air as I walked around the property. The accommodations are thoughtfully furnished to provide comfort to guests. My breakfast the first morning, I was served Baked Cinnamon French Toast which was delicious! This was in addition to the fried egg, country sausage, and roasted mini potatoes along with a berry parfait. My last breakfast included a Southwestern omelet, crispy bacon, roasted potatoes, along with a Very Berry Crumble – scrumptious! Each breakfast setting was tasteful and included water and orange juice. There was always a pot of fresh coffee on the burner to accompany the meal. And, the food was graciously served by the hostess. The hosts of this property are wonderful people and I was grateful to spend time with them. I cannot say enough words to applaud the hosts and the homes they have created to share with others. I can’t forget, they include access to a golf cart which is the perfect transportation for putting around the fascinating and historical area of Jefferson.

While our 2 night visit was short, we had a wonderful time. The Green Gables was perfect in every way. Breakfast was delicious, the cottage cozy and every detail taken care of. The location was great - easy walking distance to the main street and many options for dinner but we had fun motoring around town in a golf cart provided the inn keepers. Julie was a wonderful hostess and we'll definitely stay at eat Green Gables the next time we're in Jefferson. Thank you!

My husband and I had a getaway to Jefferson, TX and stayed at Green Gables of Jefferson. Our hosts, Julie & Marty, were so welcoming. The cottage was beautifully decorated, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was so yummy and the "extra" amenities were stellar. We had a blast driving the golf cart they provided around town. We definitely recommend and will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Julie and Marty at their beautiful bed and breakfast! I wish we could have stayed longer! We stayed in the Garden Cottage, and it was perfect; cozy and having everything you would need to be comfortable - including a microwave and small refrigerator. Their breakfast is wonderful; totally scrumptious! My husband was thrilled driving the golf cart around the town that the hosts provide you. We look forward to staying with them again! Oh, by the way, Julie brought our breakfast to our cottage (so appreciated) and their location is merely a few steps and you are in the downtown heart of Jefferson!

Wow is all we can say! This place is such a gem and we're so happy we found it! We decided to make a quick overnight trip to Jefferson and stayed at this lovely place. We had a "favorite" place that we stayed at in Jefferson for the past 5 years but decided to try something new. We were blown away by our stay! Julie and Marty greeted us with open arms, told us some of the history of the house and then showed us to our cottage. We were instantly in awe of the garden cottage when Julie opened the door. It was decorated so beautifully and the attention to detail was incredible. They have gone above and beyond with these cottages. The cottage was so adorable and romantic, impeccably clean, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom towels were soft and fluffy and everything was just perfect. We cannot praise Julie and Marty enough for their awesome bed and breakfast. Breakfast was included and it was such a treat. It was delicious! A huge perk is that each cottage comes with the use of a golf cart during your stay. We had such a blast exploring the town of Jefferson. Our only disappointment is that we couldn't stay longer! Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this AMAZING place! The location is perfect and you are right in downtown Jefferson. We will definitely be back as this is now our new favorite place! Thank you Julie and Marty for your kindness and hospitality. You have the most amazing place and we can't wait to return!

If you are headed to Jefferson - this is where to stay. First, their location is perfect - as it's walking distace from the center of town but wait! You don't even need to walk because you are given a golf cart. We putted all over that town. My husband LOVED it. :) ||||Julie greeted us upon our arrival and gave us a list of everything that was happening in town that week along with their personally curated favorite restaurant list. Do go to McGarity's; make a reservation.||||Next, their breakfast - it was delicious; it is not your ho-hum every day scrambled eggs. We stayed in the Green Gables Suite and felt like we were stepping back in time. Beautiful and very roomy. There are only 3 rooms - so it's very intimate. ||||On the other hand, it's a big property - complete with an adorable gabezo. They also have a courtyard and every night they light the fire and string lights hang from above. Dreamy. On top of that, they are right next door to a small park, an impressive city monument and a recently restored historic library. ||||In summary charming, beautiful and well done all around!

We had a lovely time at Green Gables of Jefferson. Owners were so warm and inviting (even though I walked in with an oversized Ninja turtle shirt and leggings without having a chance to get in a shower that day 😳)! The main home was gorgeous! When we first walked through the cottage doors, my first thought was, “this is so incredibly romantic!”. I mean, the music, the decor, the whole room…. Just beautiful. The owners were also so kind as to let us use their golf cart to drive to our dinner that evening. Unfortunately the thunderstorm stopped us from really getting to explore the nightlife, it made for a relaxing peaceful night in (without the kids!). I slept solid on the comfortable bed in the cottage, and we were greeted with the absolute most beautiful breakfast I have ever seen! I felt so spoiled, it’s been a long time since we had breakfast cooked for us! Thank you so much, we can’t wait to return again 😊

This was our second stay at Green Gables and both visits have been amazing. This has set the bar for all other Bed and Breakfast! The owners go out of their way to make your stay perfect. You do not have to worry about anything because they take care of everything. (Coming to our restaurant after a bad storm and leaving towels in the golf cart so we could dry our seats after dinner!) They are truly the nicest people. Every business should be ran this way. The grounds are lovely and the rooms are beautiful. The breakfast is a delicious treat every morning! We will be back and you should book a stay here ASAP.
