As my 3 week stay comes to an end, I have nothing but great things to stay. 1st and foremost, the staff here has been extremely kind and welcoming. Coming here, I thought it was gonna be too far of a drive every day to JBER, but the route was easy and took only about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic. 2nd I was given my privacy. If I needed anything for my room, they got it for me asap and respected I had to be up and out at crazy hours. Someone was always at the front desk able to help if I needed assistance or any items for my room. 3rd, the room was very clean. I was a bit worried about my drive here. I saw quite a bit of things that made me second guess, but again, the staff kept the lot clear of loitering and the rooms squared away as well as keeping the parking lot clear of snow with easy access. My only complaint which is understandable as it is a business and Alaska tends to be more expensive. But it's $3.50 to wash and $3.50 to dry. That's not to bad if your not planning on laundry often but as I had a smaller packing list I had to wash ofter and it was just a bit taxing. The food at the front counter is a bit pricey but it is so so convenient so I appreciate that. All in all I give 5*. What a great team here. Thank you all for the welcoming stay.

The room's reek of stale cigarette smoke. They supply a kitchenet, but supply nothing to use with it.They require you to purchase or go to goodwill and buy stuff. Why offer a kitchenIf they can't use it. Staff is friendly. The bed is comfortable if you can get past the smell of the room. Dead of winter but I had to keep the window wide open the entire time.

The staff were extremely helpful during my stay especially when I had a few bumps in my travel plans. The hotel room was clean, well appointed and the mattress was outstanding. Highly recommend My Place Hotel in Anchorage off of 40th Avenue.

Spacious rooms with a kitchenette. It is not totally equipped in the kitchen but they have utensils and appliances to borrow in reception. I wish they had a better blackout for the window since in summer days are super long. The location is fine. Possible to walk to a few restaurants. The staff is not the friendliest, but they do their job. There is coffee available at the front entrance, but not hot tea o cocoa. They have a little convenience store with some food/drink options.

I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. Tim and his team were excellent hosts for the entire month that we stayed. They went out of their way to make sure we were able to stay as long as we needed to (originally 2 weeks, ended up being twice that). This particular location has undergone recent renovations from the top floor down. The rooms were nice and clean and had everything we needed for an extended stay. You never know how much you need a big refrigerator until you need one and don't have it. Guest laundry is also available for $3 per load to wash and $3 to dry. Front desk always had quarters when I needed to get change. If you're looking for a good hotel in the midtown area that's close to food and close to downtown Anchorage, definitely give this one a look!

Positive: "" Negative: Noise!!! Had to ASK to be moved due to barking dogs in the next room. I did move only to have a loud TV in the room next to me. They need better customer control and better soundproofing.

My Place Anchorage is by far one of the worst lodging facilities available. As a Government Civilian, I spend more than 60% of my time on the road, traveling to geographically dispersed areas. The customer service was horrible, and the desk agents were extremely rude. The entire first floor was under renovation, and rather than close for repairs, customers had to navigate through an obstacle course to get to their assigned rooms. The elevator was out for three days, forcing the use of stairs. The hotel advertises kitchenettes with cooktops and full-size refrigerators as a selling point. However, there is no dish or cooking utensil on the premises. Nor is a complimentary breakfast offered. If you choose to purchase a breakfast, they will bring you a pre-packaged biscuit for $7.50. I had to buy cookware to make use of the equipment to prepare any food.|Additionally, a homeless camp is located adjacent to the parking lot. Although our reservations were for three weeks, we relocated on the second week due to safety concerns from a shooting in the homeless camp resulting in one homicide and several critical injuries. The hotel refused to cancel our reservations and charged us for the entire duration. And yes, that money comes from your TAX dollars. Do not stay at this hotel. You will regret every moment of your time spent there. The only reason that I gave 1 star is that a negative option does not exist.
