Chelsea Inn Hotel

The people here are great! It's a place where a lot of people are trying to get off the streets and get a job. Times are tough and it's cold out there. Bring your own towels and commodities. You can pay with cash or card. Sometimes there are "colorful" minded people that hang out in the parking lot but they are harmless. You have to ring the doorbell to get inside to get a room or get access to your room. That's so nobody follows you inside. The guy who owns the place is a nice guy who puts up with a lot of shit, but once you get to know him and he knows you will pay for your room he will work with you once you build that trust repor.

If I could give no stars I would. Booked a room for a friend. Paid on Expedia. Had a payment record and the charge on my bank account. The manager tried to charge me again. They claimed they had no internet and no way to collect payments from Expedia. Clearly they are running some shady scam. Place is filthy. Reaks of weed. Unscrupulous people in the parking lot. Will be reporting to the district attorney for scamming people and the health department.

Last year in May I was staying here in room 231 and I left to go doordashing I put 4 screws in the window downstairs facing the parking lot...I came back to find my bedroom windows wide open and my TV ON BUT MY DOOR shut..I called APD AND to my surprise I have it on video the police never asked me what's going on they went straight to the suspect after the video showed me telling the police i called u come on up...to make a long story short my ex misti Barrett and I caught the hotel employees breaking into my car stealing it I ended up homeless beat by APD I NOW HAVE A TBI AND PTSD AND IMPULSIVE DISORDER AND PERMANENT NERVE DAMAGE IN MY LEFT HAND DUE TO CORRUPTION... I STAYED HERE MAY 15, 2023 - MAY 24, 2023 ALL OF A SUDDEN MY EX MISTI BARRETT LOST THE VIDEOS AFTER I TOLD HER I'm going to sue this place...this hotel doesn't need to be standing it needs to be shut down drugs addicts Prostitutes nothing good is at that hotel if u go here ur looking for trouble...the owner i was going to tell just replace my car and kick these people out but no he didn't want to listen to what I was saying I was trying to tell him I had video of his employees breaking into my car and stealing it...so now I'm seeking big time damages...I still have videos of my car on his property...and the day that this happened when I got beat by THE ANCHORAGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

This place is worse than when I stayed here 10 years ago. I had hoped it might have improved. I was very wrong. Lobby and hallways are filthy and need vacuumed. The night manager's boyfriend was burning incense in the lobby stinking the whole place up. Tried to charge me extra for a bathroom when that's the room they put me in. Run don't walk away from this place. Don't even think about staying here.

Best place for the price and the people who work their are very friendly and flexible for the customer service and they have been trying for the rest of the time I was there to make sure that I was comfortable and had a great time that's awesome and I appreciate it and I will get my mother and all my friends and family to stay in the future

Should be an option for no stars. I had a reservation for June 7th to the 10th 2024 and was asked to leave on June 9th. On the 8th somebody had obviously been in my room cause the latch on the inside of the room was latched so that I couldn't get in my room and they had to cut it with bolt cutters to get access to the room. Thank goodness nothing of value was in the room. Place is very unclean and looks like a homeless shelter or brothel. Don't even try sleeping cause it's arguing and loud music all night

There should be an option for no stars or less than a star. This is not a hotel it's a half way house. The pictures were a lie. The out side buzzer system is un manned after 5 and we could not get back in. A resident let us in after yelling at us for not living there. This place was not worth the 100 but worse I truly felt unsafe and that was before people were rushing to deal with a flood and faulty fire alarm at 2 am.

I am a traveler with low standards but this was an all time worst. I booked a room here because it was affordable and claimed to have a free airport shuttle. When I called the front desk after booking, they said they didn't have a shuttle and the owner didn't take it down on purpose. They promised they would reimburse me for my taxi, but when I arrived said they don't do that on top of being very rude at check in. There was also an extra $50 charge on top of the room cost as a deposit I don't know if I'll get back. When I showed up there was very open hard drug and alcohol use both inside and around the building. Facilities were dirty and my bed wasn't made when I arrived. The sheets, bed cover, and pillow they gave me were very stained and had cigarette burns. Holes in the walls, broken box spring, torn out smoke detector. I was on the bottom level and they gave me a stick to put in the window to deter people from trying to open it from th outside at night. The shared bathrooms were disgusting and had no toilet paper or soap, soggy trash scattered on the floor, and smelled like vomit. It was loud all night with banging on the walls and intoxicated yelling and felt unsafe to leave my room. Pay the extra money to stay anywhere else, I wish I had!!!
