Resurrection Lodge on the Bay

What a find! We stayed in the lower barn unit. It was wonderful. Roomy, clean, comfortable, and well stocked, they have thought of everything. After a day out, it was so comfortable to come back 'home' to grab some hot tea from the kitchen and sit by the bay relaxing with an amazing view. Kendall was a great host and fun to chat with. He and Michelle have thought of everything. The ladies in the kitchen provided a wonderful breakfast each morning and with the porch heaters and blankets, we could enjoy breakfast outside, taking in the views some more. Without a doubt, next time we are in Seward, we will be staying here.

We were personally greeted and shown to our room. Our room was beautiful with local wood carvings. We overlooked the bay where sea otters could be seen. The location is a short drive ( minutes) outside of Seward. The location was beautiful and peaceful. If you don’t feel like driving, a sweet bistro is a short walk (5 minutes)down the road. The resort is Clean and well run. Highly recommend!!!

Well where do I start Resurrection Lodge on the Bay was amazing!!! The views were amazing, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The outside deck was so nice we spent most of our time there enjoying the beauty around us. We had great weather the first day but the second day it rained but that didn’t stop us from sitting outside under the covered deck enjoying the views and playing games. The breakfast was very good and the lodge was open all day with coffee, tea and hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies in the afternoon! The owners were right there on site if you needed anything, they were very personable and friendly and you could tell that they put their heart and soul into their place! I wish we could have stayed longer!!! We will definitely be back and we will stay longer. I highly recommend it you are traveling to Seward Alaska to stay here you will not be disappointed!!!

The drive in makes you question what you are going to find but what lies at the end of the road is a Gem of Gems. Kendall and Michelle have established a very special place and Mother Nature offers up views you can’t wait to wake up for. Otters and seals playing in the bay as the tide moves in and out. Then there’s Miss Melissa and Miss Kathy serving up a warm breakfast and plenty of southern charm and hospitality that just sets the perfect mood for a day of adventure. Close enough to Seward to dine but far enough away that you feel you have your own private spot in the Alaskan wilderness. A job very well done by this crew. Thank you for sharing it with us!

I am so glad we decided to stay here instead of in-town for our 3 nights in Seward. It’s not fancy but the location/views make up for it. We were lucky with dry weather so we could enjoy the Adirondack chairs. We loved watching the sea otters and bald eagles and our kids had fun playing on the beach. Having breakfast and happy hour (byob) on the deck were wonderful with the amazing views.|I would call the accommodations moderate quality. The beds and bedding were pretty good, the bathroom was small and dated but clean. Breakfast was pretty good, afternoon snacks and wellie boots to borrow were nice touches. We had a second floor room with big picture windows out to the bay.|Book early- I reserved almost a year in advance and still didn’t get my first choice room.|Also, if you happen to be doing a Kayak Adventure Worldwide tour, the put-in is right down the beach from the lodge. We coordinated in advance and did not have to go check-in in town, we just walked down the beach.

We had a deluxe bay view room and the views were spectacular. Personal touches such as soft bed linens, soft towels, homemade cookies in the afternoon and homemade muffins in the morning were appreciated. Kendall and Michelle were very hospital and reactive. I would stay here again and recommend this lodge to all. Seward is an amazing place and the lodge is quaint and perfect.

This beautiful lodge is a must when traveling in Alaska. We had the most amazing experience. The owners take such pride and joy in their hospitality. We stayed in the 3-bedroom suite. Each bedroom had a bathroom, and the view was beyond compare. My sister and brother-in-law stayed in the room below. It had a huge kitchen and living area with the same amazing view. The entire property is meticulously clean. You can tell the staff love what they do when you are greeted with smiles, information, and anything you may need. There are eagles all around, otters swimming by, and a breathtaking shoreline, perfect for long walks, that stretches in both directions and is backed by gorgeous mountains. In addition to the unbelievable view, the lodge also provides daily breakfast, and coffee/tea/cookies throughout the day. The cook staff is friendly and helpful. When it is cold outside, turn on the overhead heaters or wrap up in the cozy blankets and enjoy the deck. When it was time, we did not want to leave, but we can return again!

Our 2-BR suite was comfortable, clean, and homey. But with the view, why would anyone spend time in the rooms? It is spectacular beachfront. We could watch sea otters, bald eagles, seals, harlequin ducks... My 6-year-old granddaughter spent hours on the beach and looking in tidal pools. The rest of us could enjoy the deck and the scenery. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts were welcoming and friendly. I plan to go back and have already highly recommended this lodge to friends.
